Great value for your money! We had a spacious villa with a table and chairs to sit outside overlooking Sorrento. The pools were great. Water slides to the busy pool and a second pool for adults only with great views as well. Ample on-site parking. Walk down to the beach is about 300 stairs so don't forget anything! Nice small beach with good snorkeling/swimming.

We were lucky and had an amazing view from our hut/room and really enjoyed our stay. The Wi-Fi only works in certain areas so didn’t work in our hut only near the car park. They provide very basic kitchen items which is fine as there is a nice pizza place 5 mins walk away. You can also walk to the beach 5 mins away and take the elevator down so you don’t need to use the steps. The area is very hilly but fine if you have a car for getting around. The pool had flumes for the kids however you need to wear a swimming cap whenever in the pool which was a bit annoying and the pool closes very early at 6.30pm. However if you are aware of all these things before you go and know it is basic accommodation then it’s a good price for what you get. We made the most of it so enjoyed our stay.

We were there 5 days, 4 nights - never had clean sheets or towels provided. There is no netting on the shutters/doors to allow air flow but stop the 'tiger mosquitos' coming in. Our terrace had not been cleaned before our arrival as there was broken glass all over it and a couple of balloons. Entrance has a steep slope to climb, the linked restaurant is some distance away outside of the complex through a few streets and down some steps. Fridge has small freezer section at the top Small soap bars and shampoo sachets provided Pool has showers and toilets just outside its entrance and a small soft drink + snack bar close by.

Beautiful view but pool not open
Nice resort beautiful view and cute little town with everything you need. Disappointed to learn the pool wasn’t open (it’s shut all winter, drained and refilled) so when we were there there was no water in it. This needs to be clearer on 3rd party websites as this is why we picked this resort. Lots of steps! But we did ok even with a baby and toddler. Didn’t use the restaurant it was t clear if it was open or not. We went to Patty’s pizza just down the road which was perfect!

Two weeks in Meta
For what paid for this accommodation it was ok. Beds were pretty uncomfortable , a double room was 2 twins pulled together with a large gap in the middle. Pool area and public areas( toilets were clean, room generally clean but basic, had a kitchenette which had no cooking facilities except for a stove, no kettle had to boil water on stove top.No microwave or oven. Shower though had warm water and a/c was ok. This facility does cater for parties of young people , probably going to visit Pompeii, mainly Germans and Americans. If though you are planning to have a restful day by the pool , don't bother as these groups take over and cause a lot of noise and immature racket...they did at times spoil the ambience around the site. On our return , the receptionist man kindly gave us a lift ( site transport) to our ground transfer meeting point a mile or so away and this was appreciated, as stated the staff were very helpful. Overall a 3-3.5 out of 5 but as the saying goes you get what you pay for,

Suited our needs
Having read the reviews I was slightly apprehensive. The rooms were clean and adequate though no daily clean or replacement of towels only at extra cost. It was so useful to have the terrace outside though remember to take insect repellant. The many complaints about ants was unjustified as long as food was put away preferably in the fridge and any crumbs especially any sugar was cleared up there was no problem. The pool was surrounded with ample sun loungers and shady areas if needed .The water in the pool was quite cold but a great way to cool off. Lifeguards could have appeared a little more professional instead of sitting around smoking and talking. The shuttle bus was very useful to go to the beach or catch the bus....costing only E3.20 return Sorrento. Due to the many steps at this resort which can be a bit tough can be avoided when the shuttle isnt running by walking through e side street to the main road near the patisserie which incidently sells delicious cakes and pastries. The beach was clean and facilities were good. Reception staff were very helpful booking in was easy. Transfer to the resort was easily done by Guilio at a good rate.

Not 4 star by any means. Very basic accommodation. Lovely views. Good pool. Food at the restaurants outside the complex much better than within. Just remember it’s much more Pintins than Centreparc

Tiny Town
Getting to the hotel was a clown show. There was only one way into this town and always someone behind you in a hurry, beeping horn. You have no time to gather courage to move your vehicle through the tiny roads. Don’t stay here if you plan on sightseeing by car. You won’t want to move vehicle once parked until you leave. Once at the front desk, we were greeted warmly. There were 4 of us, 2 rooms separated with bathroom in between. The rooms were super small and only space for a suitcase. The bed had to be used to get into our luggage. The removable shower head would not staying in place and would easily wet past the small shower curtain, while fussing with it mid shower. Lots and lots of stairs to get to beach (you are after all on the side of a mountain). The beach was only accessible through purchase by each beach front hotel. We did manage to find a spot for locals after a little meandering. A great place to hide-a-away but not to sightsee.

Ants everywhere
Room was full of insects. I have never seen so many ants in a room. No maid service, no change of towels or change of bedding, despite hotel claiming to be 4 star. Loads of students, hotel more like a campsite. Mainly caters for Italians.

Hidden gem..great place to stay
we stayed here just two weeks ago I was apprehensive at first because of some of the reviews but we had a really great stay.We were lucky to be given a bungalow with a private sea view balcony.. room 402 which was great for 2 adults and two small children. It was clean and the only drawback was the 3 flights of stairs we had to descend with a pushchair and a one year old, but we didnt mind what can you expect for a hillside sea view accomodation, and yes we had ants but they were no problem, this would happen anywhere at this time of year. The weather here was 40 degrees most days so having the luxury of a nice pool area for the family was great, it is safe, clean and well maintained. The surrounding area of Meta is very charming with its cobbled windy streets and plenty of places to relax with a pizza and vino. There are bus connections to Sorrento 5 mins from the park and the staff were very helpful with helping to organise trips to Vesuvio and Pompeii. They even gave us a taxi ride at 6am to our airport transfer bus Curreri Viaggi which was a twenty minute walk to the Meta church. We would definately stay here again, had a great time and at a bargain price too

Helpful staff and location.
We arrived late and found our room to be very small and it was was not big enough for our family. We asked for an upgrade and within one hour we were in a two bedroom bungalow! This was sorted out so quickly and they were happy for us to pay the difference at the end of our stay. The bungalow we were given had the most amazing views from the bedroom windows and the private patio. We were looking over the beach and the Bay of Naples. also it was only 10 min to the beach down the steps!! Every time we saw the staff in their office they were pleasant and friendly. The accommodation was basic , but absolutely fine for our needs and the location was the best we have ever had on holiday with the most amazing sunsets from the comfort of our patio. There was a problem with ants which you get everywhere. We bought some ant spray and used this every day so the problem was sorted. Meta is a great place to stay when exploring the area and we were able to do lots during our stay. We enjoyed

Good for families with kids
If you are looking for something which is ok, with a pool, and in a walking distance to the beach, and you don't mind going up and down a lot of stairs (can also be 7 floors), it might fit you. Note - they close the pools at 18:30 (although it hot and sunny till 20:00)

Great place as a base with kids
We were initially worried about this accommodation after reading some of the reviews.. I'm really not sure what it is people want! The bungalows, although dated, were spacious and most importantly CLEAN! The pool area was clean and supervised with the small cabin serving drinks and snacks at a reasonable cost. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Yes, there are a lot of steps we were on the the 1st floor and the pool on the 8th but as long as you don't have children in push chairs it's good exercise!! Beautiful views from the terrace, the sunsets were spectacular! All in all it was value for money.

Dreadful
It dirty, smelly & I'm a remote location. The beach you have to pay to go on & though ok to walk down to its a hard walk back up - imagine walking up a 15 storey tower block & you'll get the idea. Our cabin smelt awful but the rude staff were quite disinterested & declared it normal. Seemingly the cabin was meant to smell like a motorway services toilet. The walk to Sorrento is hard going & a long way. Mostly in the dark & often no pavement. We had hoped this would be lovely & relaxing after visiting Rome. However, with the kids football team tour put paid to that. Noisey & famies equally noisey! Was so glad to leave & if we could have found somewhere else we would have left sooner.
