We just got home in SD from our trip to Mexicali for Fiestas Del Sol. I was very impressed how amazing the staff were the entire stay. The hotel is kept very clean and safe, and the free breakfast was sometjing I wasn't expecting...so fantastic! The rooms are super spacious and the beds are way more comforable than I expected. So overall, Team Diaz LOVES Holiday Inn Mexicali and will be returning sometime in the near future. Peace

Updated rooms, allowed me to check in early, the staff was friendly. Pool in good condition and breakfast was plentiful including both continental items and some Mexican dishes like beans. Complementary coffee at all times is a big big plus! The only negative is the the club next to east side of the hotel is excessively LOUD. Beyond normal loud and plays until very late. Even with a white noise machine at full volume we could not drown the noise. I wonder why there is not regulation regarding volume next to a hotel!
