Poor First Impression
The clerk at check in was extremely rude. Someone was trying to check in and there was a mix up with the reservation. They were on their phone and we were wandering around the “trading store “. The clerk asked us what we wanted and we said to check in. She responded with “ Go down there and wait. I’m waiting on someone else right now”. We were waiting, she asked us how she could help, and that was her response.

Older Hotel, Clean and Quiet
Hotel was older, but was very clean and tidy. Beds had a foam mattress topper, which does not offer a lot of support, but it was totally fine for an overnight stay. Check in and out staff were amazing and extremely friendly, as was the restaurant and their staff. Restaurant food was very good! Property is very unique and the stay was enjoyable.

What a neat little place! This is a great option for visitors of Monument Valley. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can sip you complementary morning coffee on one of the little patios overlooking the San Juan river!

Trip to Mexican Hat
It is a nice hotel for the area. Nice view of river. Nice patio areas. People at the restaurant were super nice. Check in woman was super rude. I don think she understood her job was to greet people. The lack of a coffee maker in the room was ridiculous. They are cheap. Having to go and bother the restaurant people for hot water, tea, and coffee is not efficient.

Really like the outdoor seating along the river, and the 2nd floor patio area. However the rooms themselves are very worn and require renovation. Drywall bubbling off walls, old fixtures, warn flooring, etc.

Super location for Monument Valley
Superb location for our visit to Monument Valley and on route to Grand Canyon, stayed here many years ago and it hasn’t changed! Just the right place for a Road trip stopover. Despite some kitchen equipment issues we still had two lovely meals in the restaurant, great friendly service.
