A Gem in the Heart of CDMX! We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Hotel Histórico Central. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. One of the standout features was the all-inclusive breakfast and the 24-hour café. After a long day exploring the city, it was such a treat to come back and grab complimentary beer, sodas, juices, coffee, salads, sandwiches, and baked goods before heading up to our room. This added so much value and convenience to our stay. Our room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day and provided any extras we requested promptly. Despite being in the center of downtown, the room was very quiet and we were pleasantly surprised at how peaceful it was inside. The location couldn’t be better — right in the middle of everything. We were within walking distance of excellent food, shopping, and multiple historical sites. Best of all, we never felt unsafe at any point during our stay, even when walking around at night. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting CDMX. Great service, location, and comfort — we would definitely stay here again!

Great property and amenities without all the crowd. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, there were teacher protests taking place and we were unable to enjoy the Zocalo area as we wanted because it was full of tents and carps hanging everywhere.

A gem of a stay

Cozy hotel close to Zocola with amazing service. Walking distance to many Mexican eateries and shops. Warm and friendly service. Rooms a bit small but very clean and tastefully done. Breakfast very nice, made to order. A café on site with snacks and drinks included during our stay was a bonus surprise. A definite return soon to this wonderful hotel!

Great hotel with lots of freebies

Great hotel in the prime location of the downtown central historic district. They provide free breakfast, free food and drinks all day, and free water bottles. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Only issue I felt was the air conditioner was loud when on and the room was hot when the AC was off. Overall I still recommend this hotel based on all the benefits.

We absolutely loved Historico Central hotel! The staff was great, the food fabulous, and the room was comfortable and quiet. We did not like the all the "protestors" however who camped in tents the whole time we were in the historic district. We couldn't see past the tents to view the buildings on a tour. The tents and their filth filled the whole public square and many of the streets leading there. Apparently this isn't uncommon in Mexico City. It really made our visit unpleasant as we had trouble getting to Metropolitan Cathedral, seeing the National Palace, and going to most restaurants in the area. I highly recommend the hotel but don't necessarily recommend visiting Mexico City as long as they allow public camping.
