The first impression of the hotel was nice. Very fresh and clean lobby. The rooms were not as upgraded as expected. There was a ceiling leak at 1am. They had to come and repair. They did not offer for us to more rooms. They also left the dirty water towels on the ground. We had to ask them to come and clean our room and they just swept away the dirt but didn’t mop the floors. We told the front desk and they did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience. Would not stay at this hotel again.

The staff is very nonchalant. They never greet you or seem happy to be of service. I came in way before check in but they did accommodate me with an early check in which I paid. I asked about breakfast and they told me I had to have a credit card which I didn’t have so she suggested I add my debit card to my room so that if I’d like to have breakfast at the hotel I could. We decided not to have breakfast the at the hotel and was still charged for it. I emailed and called them like I was instructed to do so about the situation. I was told if they investigated and found no record of us having breakfast I would get refunded but now was emailed that breakfast was non refundable so I lost my money. Such an inconvenience and let down. Our AC never cooled down at all. We had to sleep w the window open to cool down the room. The closet door was missing and the pool area and the reception area were the only nice part of the hotel

Although we had a great time celebrating my friend’s birthday in Mexico City for the first time, the birthday girl ended up getting eaten up by bed bugs in our room. We are currently trying to retrieve a refund but no one has responded to our emails or calls yet. But definitely recommend checking out the Handshake Speakeasy bar!

I had stayed at this location years ago and enjoyed it more than this stay. The location is perfectly located in the Zona Rosa, plenty of restaurants and night life in walking distance. Jose the bellhop/concierge was excellent - and went above and beyond to be helpful about the hotel and the surrounding areas. I'd stay again, but you can tell the property is aging.
