Disappointing Service Despite Promising Amenities
I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was not up to expectations. While the property itself is well-maintained and the location convenient, the service—particularly from the front desk staff—left much to be desired.
Throughout my stay, I had to repeatedly follow up on basic requests such as extra pillows and hangers. Despite being promised quick assistance, it often took several hours—and in one case, overnight—for items to arrive. This level of responsiveness is not what I expect from a hotel in this price range.
Additionally, I had paid for a room upgrade, which turned out to be directly above a very noisy area of the hotel. I brought the issue to the attention of the staff who allowed us to downgrade to a much smaller room. Hoping at the very least for a refund of the upgrade cost, it took multiple weeks and a lot of effort from Expedia staff to finally get a response from the hotel. I was met with no resolution from NH but luckily Expedia offered me credit.
While I understand that issues can arise, it’s how a hotel handles those situations that makes the difference. In this case, the lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to make things right made for a frustrating stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as there is potential here—but service needs significant improvement. For future reference, do not book any of the junior suites as they are all directly above bars/clubs.
