Great location, easy to walk places; however they did not have the room that we booked originally. We got what seemed to be a standard room from a deluxe room that was originally booked. Not too many amenities or events when we were there like the hotel originally stated. It’s also very dark in the hotel, cool construction and decor but overall dark ambiance.

There were some issues with the elevator during our stay as well as with the pool/flooding in the bar and restaurant. This limited our ability to use the amenities that we had previously booked specifically for.

Pros: Hotel Volga is a beautiful hotel in a very accessible, walkable neighborhood in Mexico City. The restaurant is delicious and the daily breakfast options are fantastic. The cleaning and service staff are also very kind and helpful, and the rooms are always neat. During my stay, I had issues with the air conditioning and the hotel staff gave me another room with no issue. Cons: The hotel is very dark, everywhere, including the rooms. Barely any natural light anywhere other than the rooftop. The WiFi is not reliable anywhere, and the dining area/lobby is too loud and dark for work. I had to use my hotspot for internet throughout the entire trip because the WiFi either would not load or would constantly disconnect. Also, music was playing loudly all day long, everywhere, even early in the morning for breakfast. In addition, the hotel does not have a phone service and all communication with the Front Desk has to happen over WhatsApp, both for matters such as room service and invoicing. The Front Desk is not always prompt in replying. Finally, I have had issues obtaining my invoice for my lengthy stay at Volga, and have not obtained a clear response as to why from the hotel staff. All in all, I would say this is a great hotel for a vacation, especially for young people. Most of the staff is kind, and it’s beautifully designed and chic. However, for anything that deviates from a young person’s holiday, such as a family trip or a work trip, I would not choose it again.

Volga Hotel is conveniently located & walking friendly to a lot of neighbourhoods in CDMX. Restaurants, bars & night life. The staff is absolutely fabulous!! They made sure our needs were met and always with a smile. Look out for Juan… his smile is bigger than his face, and is a welcoming greeting coming or going. Please make sure you tell Juan Samantha sends her greetings!

Hotel Volga in Mexico City impresses with its stunning architecture and stylish rooms but falls short in service, making the stay frustrating. Check-in was delayed by over two hours with no clear explanations from confused staff, setting a disappointing tone. Our rooms were beautifully decorated yet not serviced until 6 PM the next day, disrupting our plans. Noise from a basement bar and a busy rooftop, which we were unexpectedly restricted from using due to a private event, permeated our rooms until early morning. Additionally, this was the only place in Mexico City where we encountered rude staff. Despite its visual appeal, Hotel Volga's operational failures significantly detract from the overall experience. I would hesitate before booking this .

This hotel is amazing! The staff is so responsive, the venue is sleek and modern, the amenities are beyond expectations, housekeeping is superb, the rooftop pool and lounge chairs provide a quiet retreat and the breakfasts are delicious! Truly, I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
