I’ve stayed here several times and the staff has always been nice & accommodating, it was nice to see they’ve “updated” the property. It is a bummer that breakfast is no longer included, there’s another restaurant that sells breakfast there in the hotel’s breakfast area. ALSO, the Beacon should offer a “business” suite where guests can use the computer & print items, if needed….

Nice stay! Quiet, clean, comfortable room (517)

I enjoyed my 7-night stay. The hotel is located in an ideal location, and I was fortunate to have a room at the very back of the hotel (city view) and on the top floor. It was quiet. The room was well-appointed. The aircon was loud and did a lot of rattling, though. The bathroom was very small, but the shower was nice. Plenty of hot water at all times and solid water pressure. The only thing at all that bothered me was the additional $159 “service” charge they added at checkin. This was in addition to the $100 deposit hold. I didn’t recall receiving anything about another $159 charge at checkin when I paid for the room in advance on Hotels.com. I paid it. What else can you do? But either the hotel or Hotels.com needs to make this extra charge very clear. It’s not a huge deal, but customers need to be made aware of this in advance. There is literally little worse than surprise billing. Oh, and a shoutout to Carlos (bellhop). He’s the only staff member who really engaged with me (which is absolutely fine), and I appreciate his welcoming behavior. Give him a promotion and a raise. 👍

Woman at front desk was extremely rude and just miserable. She should probably find a nee job if she is that unhappy. The young man who took our bags to store was FANTASTIC. Restaurant was not good and very overpriced. Chicken Parm tasted worse than chef boyardee.

This is a really small hotel, without a pool. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom was too small. The walls are thin and you can hear everyone talking in the hallway. The telephone didn't work, so we could not call the front desk or housekeeping. The internet barely worked and would not let us watch any tv. We reported that the tv needed to be fixed, but it never was. We tried to watch Netflix, but the connection was too bad. They give you chairs for the beach, but you have to carry them over there yourself. There is no beach staff and no umbrellas. The hotel website stated that there was room service, but that was not presented as an option. Staff was not helpful. Bellman does not take your bags to your room. Very small elevator that holds a maximum of 3 people. The rooms need to be renovated. Positive - There are plenty of places to eat and all are within walking distance.

Absolutely horrible management. Avoid at all costs. I tried to call the hotel nonstop for 2 days at 2 different numbers- as did Expedia- and no one answered the phone nor could you leave a message. Same with emails. I decided the place may not be open and did not drive through the hard rain to go. I informed them of this as did Expedia. No response. Then they wouldn't refund any money for the entire stay.

It was a nice place. My only complaint is the bed frame. It sticks out and I have hit my leg on the corner at least a dozen times and have two more days to stay. Staff are very friendly!

The main thing I didn’t like was when I went to the beach at 12pm and came back at 720 pm. I came back to my Hotel room open. The staff came in just made my bed up no real cleaning because sand and items was still on the floor. I was so mad because anybody could have came in my room and took my belongings. I trusted in them and they let me down. I told the lady at the front desk and she just said it was probably the cleaning people. I wasnt compensated for anything it was like oh well. I would not be returning back or recommending this place to anybody
