We booked this hotel for a weekend of rest. On Saturday at 8:40 a.m., loud construction noise started and made it impossible to sleep. By 10:40 a.m., since no one answered the room intercom or hotel phone, we had to get dressed and go to the front desk. Nothing was resolved.
The staff acknowledged the issue and offered to refund the travel fee, but we made it clear that this did not compensate for losing the rest we had planned. We were granted a late checkout on Sunday, and there was no noise on Sunday, which we appreciated.
However, the manager never followed up and never offered an apology. While the front desk staff was polite, politeness without resolving the main problem is not helpful.
I regret choosing AKA Hotel and would not stay here again.
