Hotel itself was nice and the room was spacious. The bathroom was modern and the waterfall shower was a beautiful touch. However, the gym had very outdated equipment. There was quite a bit of homeless around outside the property.

Each time the air conditioner blower started, it made a prolonged whirring noise loud enough to wake me up. The plumbing also emitted a gurgling noise at times; although no liquids flowed out that I could observe, this seemed to be caused when a toilet was flushed in a room linked to the same effluent pipes. Finally, the lobby was cramped and opened onto a blighted urban street. I expected more from a 4 star hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, but good food and cafe's and close to the harbour for crossing over to miami beach. The rooms and communal areas were perfectly clean and cannot be faulted. The reception was just a little tired and there was planned maintenance to the exterior which let it down (we were warned). Some scuffs in the rooms which made it look warn, but wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
