Subpar Management; "parking charges"

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Upon arrival, found out that there was a charge for the "parking" which was not listed in the hotel.com listing, the front desk representative stated it was a company charge- which makes it feel that either the company or hotels.com was being dishonest in pricing. Had issues with the internet - had to connect with the internet service to fix it upon check in. Had issues with the laundry machine...it took our money for the dryer and would stop mid cycle. when I brought up this issue the manager was conveniently "in a meeting" and never followed up with me personally. When I came back 3 hours later, she left for an appointment and - relayed a message to the front desk stating they will comp a day stay in the 3 day stay that was booked. still have not received the refund of this. Overall, it was a beautiful hotel but poorly management with how they solve issues with conflict arises.

Upon arrival we found out that there is a $10 parking fee per day to park in the parking lot of the hotel that you paid to stay in. This was not posted anywhere when we reserved the room. The area feels a little questionable. However we didn't have any problems. We were sure to take everything in veiw in our car into the room and parked as close to the building and in well lit areas. The staff was nice, the room was clean.

The was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. We did not have any bath sos. I asked the front desk to please bring some but it was never delivered. Also, if I was approaching to book a room without a reservation, I would have thought twice because the trash can near the front door was very full. The next morning, that same trash bin was overflowing with trash. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would not expect to have those mishaps during our next visit.

Eh, great location but some signs of age

GOOD: Breakfast was great. Location is great for accessing Everglades. BAD: Property is simply not very secure- hotel side door was stuck open. We had to pull our door closed or it would remain open. The pool has no security- you enter from the outside of the hotel and there is no key card reader or anything. There were two tvs in our room (one in front of the bed and one in front of the couch/pullout) and one remote, which is just weird. Night front desk staff was responsive but definitely did not enjoy their job.

I was shocked to find the breakfast ended at 9am which is earlier than most hotels we’ve stayed at. For such a large lobby dedicated to eating it seems wasteful to only have it open so briefly.
