Airport Shuttle stinks

The airport shuttle situation at the Miami Airport is terrible. Hotel was fine but getting there was difficult. There are 4-6 holiday inns in the area and you each has thier own shuttle. it took over an hour to to get to a hotel 5 minutes away.

I just wanted to sleep...

Only one entrance to the building (our room was in a seperate addition), though there were mutiple doors and security guards at each one. Bright lights throughout the parking lot and our room was designed to have black out curtains as an accent and only the light filtering ones covered the windows. I couldn't even change in the room without being seen from outside, let alone sleep in the artificial daylight. Slamming doors throughout our hallway until 0230, and we had to be up at 0400 to catch our flight. Just unfortunate. Will not return.

This grand old lady is in need of a renovation, but still good enough for an overnight stay close to the airport. The hotel includes a shuttle to the airport. The steak chimichurri in the upstairs restaurant was very good.

Elevator door was having spasms . There was some sort of bathroom fragrance that was strong, not friendly for people getting fragrance triggered migraines. Bed was comfortable, beddings were nice and clean.
