There was someone running around for hours above our room. Called front desk, nothing was done. We asked for bedding for our pull out bed. They never came, called 3 times. Had to sleep on bed without anything. There is no parking within 5 blocks of here, so if you have a car, don’t expect to get anything out of it. Staff was rude. I’d recommend anywhere in South Beach on ocean drive from 4th st to 13th

Major construction on both sides of the property. Housekeeping staff had a breakfast party right outside our door every morning for an hour. No alarm clocks needed here. Front desk were very nice. The pool and beach staff were excellent. Property is just old and needs a revamp.

We loved staying in the prominent location with walkable distance to Main Street and restaurants. They have a great pool side cafe and personal beach. But the rooms were too small with very little space given for storage, bathrooms were also pretty small. It would’ve been great if rooms and hallways were also as maintained as the reception, dining and pool area.

My husband and I liked the property for 3 reasons: 1) Its proximity to the beach was excellent with a beautiful view despite the construction next to the hotel which could also be seen & heard from our balcony. BTW we were not made aware of this ahead of time...2} Collins Ave is a great location because you have high & low choices for dining. Along with convenient stores like Walgreens in walking distance. 3) Friendly staff. Although they could use more help at the front desk. It was always just one person.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I spent four nights here and throughout the stay there was a clear lack of attention to detail. My room was missing coffee and/or water, towels, and other items multiple nights. The elevators were not reliable and multiple people were temporarily stuck in them on the day of my check-out. I had to ask for a working hair dryer twice. Housekeeping seemed to work later into the day and would speak loudly to each other in the hallway and sometimes didn't replace dirty cups. For what I paid, I expected better. Additionally, at check-in I was told there would be an additional roughly $730 charge for hotel fees and a hold for incidentals. Then at check out the front desk informed me I would owe an additional roughly $2100. This seemed like an egregious additional charge considering the room was already paid for. When I asked about this charge I was told it was for additional fees (not mentioned at check-in). For context, this was a very busy weekend in Miami and I believe housekeeping was probably understaffed. To the hotel's credit they didn't charge at check out (after complaining) and gave me a small credit to attempt to make up for the experience, but overall I walked away feeling as though I overpaid for a very subpar room and customer experience. I would never stay here again and have already warned others to avoid it. If you book this hotel through Expedia, make sure you are very clear on the fees at check-in.
