Desperate need of renovation

I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life, but this was unfortunately one of the worst experiences. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation—the rooms feel outdated and dull, the WiFi doesn’t work, and neither does the TV or even the elevator. On our last day, my friend and I wanted to watch a movie in our room, but when the TV wouldn’t work, we called the front desk. They assured us someone would come to fix it, but after waiting 45 minutes with no sign of help, we gave up. The pool area is nice, but even there, the staff forgot our order multiple times. Overall, a really disappointing way to end our trip. Sadly, I can’t recommend staying at this hotel.

Liked the beach area and the gentlemen running it. They did a good job of monitoring the chairs and making sure those using them were actually from our hotel. Very kind young men. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning, but often forgot an item or two in terms of changing out towels, garbage cans, etc. Our safe did not work and our frig was unplugged when we arrived...which we didn't realize until the next morning. We pulled it out from the wall and plugged it in. Housekeeping came after 5:00 p.m. twice which was too late as we were already back from the beach.

Lovely staff

The staff is absolutely lovely and helpful. Ariel, Brian, Shahin, Maria R., Pete - just a few names, everyone is amazing. The atmosphere in the lobby with the art and music give off a nice relaxed vibe. There are some things that can be improved: in the bathroom towel racks would be good instead of small knobs; the ecofriendliness as per hotel's wish could be followed easier and the towels would dry. If eco is important it would be advisable to encourage all guests to be responsible and throw away their own garbage when on the beach - maybe reusable glasses could be introduced, like the water bottles the hotel provide with water stations for fill-up. European guests are open to recycle. Such great staff on the beach! The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the pillows a bit high, for our personal taste. What can be disturbing is the almost constant music from the neighbouring hotel, which is much louder than the music in Sagamore, and can be heard even on the beach. We would definitely chose Sagamore again when visiting Miami.

Excellent value for the area. Room size and staff were as good as it gets. Liquor store, Walgreens, bars and restaurants literally seconds away. The interior that’s lined with unique artwork is a great browse.
