Beach front and access to beach were great and the pool area was fine but be better if the pool was heated. I believe they were short staffed when we arrived as they were still cleaning rooms and we had to wait a half hour after our check in time that was 4pm. Not a deal breaker to give a bad review. I think it was a great room with lots to do around the area and beach front was a plus. I would definitely go back.

Location was perfect. The balcony rooms are nice, the view is stunning. Don’t have any expectations. Very obvious old hotel. David at the beach went above and beyond. Running around the beach making sure everyone had the set up they wanted at the beach. Checked in if we needed any drink/food orders. Rare to see that sort of customer service these days!

My room was next to a room that was covered in black mold. I took photos to show management. The manager would not get on the phone . He gad the front desk clerk try to help me.The. the staff is very nice but overwhelmed. I was moved from the 1st room bc it was next an elevatorroot

Awful hotel! They only had one working elevator and that broke as well. Elevators took 45 minutes to get to you because only one was working. At this point, both elevators are broken! They have not done anything about it! Stay away from this hotel!

This is a pretty big hotel, 1 person working, felt so bad for him. There was at least 10 ppl in line at all times, trying to check in or ask a question. It was very frustrating. When checkong in everyone was told the rooms where not ready, still need cleaned. No problem, we can drop our bags and go on about day visiting Miami. Not so simple. A very old woman came and try to direct customers where to put the luggage. It was a very small closet, trying to cram about 30 suitcase in there. No organization. No staff. It looks like it once was a very nice hotel but there is no staff, so common areas are DIRTY! CARPETS LOOKS LIKE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN VACUUMED IN A LOND TIME. FURNITURE OLD AND WORN. THE HOTEL ISNT WELCOMING, HARD TO FIND ANYTHING TO DRINK, NO SHOP, NOT EVEN A HYDRATION STATION AT THE DESK. LISTING HAS FREE BREAKFAST. THAT IS HALF TRUE. YOU CAN HAVE CEREALS AND TOAST FOR FREE THE REST IS A CHARGE. SHEETS WEAR DIRTY AND STAINED, LOOKED LIKE THEY HADNT BEEN CHANGED FROM LAST PEOPLE. ASKING FOR REPLACEMENTS OR ANYTHING FOR THE ROOM WAS MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, TOOK HOURS TO ARRIVE. THERE WAS AN ENORMOUS ROACH IN MY FRIENDS BATHROOM. ONLY 1 WORKING OLD AND ALOW ELEVATOR FOR MANY, MANY FLOORS. TOOK THE STAIRS WAS LIKE TAKING YOUR CHANCE GOING DOWN A DARK ALLY, SMELLING OF URINE, TRASH EVERYWHERE, ANIMAL DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE. BEDS UNCOMFORTABLE, WHEN MY HUSBAND MOVED, I MOVED LIKE ON A WATER BED, IT HAD NO SUPPORT. THERE WAS A VERY UNDERSTAFFED RESTAURANT, TOOK 1.5 HOURS FOR Order

This is an older hotel from 1947 but it has a great pool and good location for the price. There breakfast is good and affordable the continental breakfast is ok. There furniture is outdated but there putting in new furniture in hotel and updating. I recommend if your trying to save money. The other hotels in area are pretty expensive.

I would give this hotel a 0 if I could! Check in was extremely slow, only 1 elevator working, Free breakfast was a joke, very under staffed, no vending machines and to top it off I had a cockroach come out of the sink when brushing my teeth and they just said they will have housekeeping look at it. The only good part was the pool and it is beachfront. I would not recommend this place to my dogs.

Went three days before housekeeping visited the room for upkeep, and even then they only did so because I requested it twice; elevator was out of service the entire stay; no Wifi in the room, and the guy at the desk just kept insisting it was working I should try again - but it never worked. A shame that it's run and maintained so poorly because it's a nice historic old building, good location, lovely pool area - but just not kept up and the staff are completely overwhelmed and unable to help with anything.
