Classic Old School hostel. Close walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Basic amenities are provided. Clean towel, bed sheets and covers are provided. Room service staff cleans room and deliver amenities every morning. Old historical building but overall clean environment. There’s a kitchen and Rec area in the basement. Wifi worked great. You’ll share a room and share your space, and meet people from all over the place, if booked in advance great value. Would come back.

I’ve been staying at the South Beach Rooms and Hostel for about 5 weeks. A few weeks ago y roommate went through one of the top bunks and landed on the person below. They moved everyone to a new room. About a week later while I was sleeping one of the sup-Orr beams came down and hit me while I was sleepin. A few weeks later and they still haven’t fixed it and cnouinue to try and put people up above me on a broken bunk. Because I spoke up and said it’s safe, they now won’t renew me and are kicking me out, which is retaliatory. I’m a full time student attending MDC. This -lace is totally unethical and unprofessional. Nothing is as advertised and the owner won’t replace broken bunk beds. I just filed complaints with the Florida DBPR and the BBB. Calling attorneys now.

Overall good, quiet stay.
Check in was ol, room clean but felt a little musty. Breakfast was cereal which i had to comment to the fromt desk.that i saw the lady open the package with her teeth to pour into the container. Good thing i dont eat cereal. I had black coffe and bought something outside. I like staying here for the convenience.
