The hotel overall was nice but the mattress was a bit broken down, the pillows were flat and we had asked for our room to be cleaned on the 2nd day and it never was. We had to call the front desk for new towels but never got our bed linens changed. We also called down for valet to bring us our car the day we were leaving and had no response and when we got down to valet the gentleman was sleeping at the valet desk.

I was disappointed upon checking in to be told I failed to pay the fees. It was only upon my persistence for them to check their records my payment was found. Some of the staff members seemed reluctant to provide assistance. The breakfast options were limited and costly.

The staff was very friendly. We came early and they allowed us to have an early check-in without any extra charge. The welcome cookies were great. The hotel and room were very clean. It's walking distance to the beach, towels are also provided. Transportation was great in the area. Overall, we had a good time staying at the Gate Hotel.

The staff was above and beyond kind and helpful. They let us in the room early and held our luggage for us after checkout while we went shopping. The only issues we had was that the door didn’t fit in the jam, so it got stuck. It took an adult to pull it open. We struggled with the elevator, but turns out you have to have a room key to get it to work. 😅 other than that Everything was great!

It was very quiet, which was nice. The room was spare - there were no drawers to put clothes in for a long stay. The shelves available were okay, but only added to the feeling of clutter. Not enough waste baskets - just one small one.

appreciated the comfort of the bed and pillows, and especially of the AC, kept us cool and was quiet so we could sleep well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside I would say is maybe the shower was odd with semi-transparent glass facing the bedroom area.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. I especially want to mention Marcia ( always helpful and always had a wave and a smile for us) Johanna ( concierge who was always helpful) and Alfonzo ( who made sure we received a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary). Michael, Akim, and Scott were also a pleasure to deal with. The hotel felt safe at all times, and it was clean and well-located. We would return.

we had an amazing time here - the location can't be beat and with a ton of amenities and activities right on location there's always something to do. the staff was super responsive and quick to address anything that came up during our stay which was really nice. two front desk staff in particular, christie and scott were super helpful and very hospitable, so shout out to them for all their hard work and making us feel so welcome. the gates is a trendy, bustling hotel steps from the beach and minutes away from a ton of other attractions and nightlife, so if you're looking to really get a sense of what miami beach has to offer this is an excellent option. we would definitely stay here again.

Overall the hotel provided what I needed but I was a little disappointed with the rooms. The restaurant OLA isn't there anymore The first room I was in had a leaking AC & rain was coming in through a patio door wetting the carpet giving the room a bad smell. I had to REQUEST to be moved to a different room, they just wanted to send maintenance to "check it out" no thanks not staying in a room with wet carpet. I was moved to a room with an ok view but this room had a tv that had orbs on it, so no clear picture. I was over it at this point. I wish they would have done a better job at making up for the problem instead of me having to ask.
