Central, convenient, friendly

Great, central location to South Beach. We were staying in Miami for one night before heading to the Keys. The valet parking was very convenient after coming straight from the airport. The front desk, I believe Josh, was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Room was clean with beautiful large windows overlooking the street. Walking distance to the beach and great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Saturday night on South Beach

Friendly front desk service. We were made to feel welcome. Only negative is that we had a room facing busy Collins Avenue. A Saturday night on South Beach is anything but quiet and it was tough to sleep - even very late into the night - without being awoken by traffic noise. Otherwise, the stay was very enjoyable.

Very close to local shopping and dining, and a very affordable hotel to stay in! I booked it for a conference, and it was right around the corner from the conference space. The room was nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it had a vanity in addition to the bathroom mirror, which was a nice touch. The staff was all very friendly and professional. We enjoyed it!

Kent was a great stay for our 3 days, close to beach, restaurants and shopping. The area is amazing and the front desk staff were very nice.

Was travelling with my family and AC in my room didn’t work most of the night. Only after 3-4 hours sometime after midnight, when coils defrosted, it worked for few hours. Requested for additional fan but was refused. I asked for some compensation for inconvenience faced and that was refused too. Bad experience with Kent Hotel. Never had to face this before

Great location for exploring Miami Beach

We stayed one night at the Kent Hotel to explore Miami Beach before flying home after a two week cruise. The location on Collins Avenue is excellent - the beach is literally round the corner. Collins is lined with lots of small hotels, cute restaurants, cafes and bars. The main shopping area (Lincoln) is a 10 minute walk. The hotel is small but has its own restaurant (although we didn’t use it as we had reservations elsewhere). The staff are super helpful and friendly. The hotel also has beach towels they will lend you for free which is perfect with the beach just around the corner. The room was a decent size (perfect for two, a bit of a squeeze for four but it was only for one night). The only downsides were a weird smell in the bathroom and little sound proofing - could hear the people in the room next door turning the light switch on and off. Was great for what we needed though and could store our luggage before check in/after check out.

The hotel is very old. Outdated. Run down and very dirty. Horrible elevator for 2 people and no bags. I would not stay at this hotel ever again. The bathroom smells and the shower is awful. For the price and what you pay it’s not worth it. I will not be back and I would recommend you find a different place to stay.
