I stayed at YVE Hotel from May 23–28 and experienced numerous issues that made the stay disappointing. The room was much smaller than expected, with an extremely cramped bathroom, no seating despite online photos showing a desk and sofa chair, and only two towels with one washcloth provided. The elevator was out of service without any notice, forcing us to walk down from the 12th floor, and there was no communication from the hotel about the issue—we only learned about the elevator outage after asking at the front desk.
We requested to be moved to a lower floor, the front desk agent found a room but instructed us to call for readiness updates; however, there was no phone service in the room, requiring us to go to the elevator area to make the call. Communication throughout was poor, with a dismissive front desk staff member and repeated requests needed just to get basic linens—the first day we only received 2 towels and 1 washcloth (thankfully I travel with my own washrags). Despite these significant inconveniences, the hotel offered less than $100 in compensation, which felt inadequate given the overall experience.
