Does not look like the pictures Expedia advertised at all!! I know I booked a non refundable hotel BUT I’d at least ask don’t false advertise. I was going inside to cancel just from outside looks, then the person at the front desk was arguing over the phone with someone who was in a room already stating “the appearance of the room was not his responsibility “ of course Expedia makes it impossible to get ahold of them so I just let it be and took my lost DO NOT RECOMMEND
when i arrived, the whole hotel was under construction (this was not mentioned online). The room was dirty, several things in the room didn't work, the bath/shower was damaged and there was mold on the roof and wall
Not was I was expecting for a La Quinta, I've stayed at a few else where & thought this would be a good choice. We ended up having to go buy cleaning products just to feel a little better with how gross the room was. The tub had some red line down the side right next to where they had the bath mat so you think they would have noticed that. The caulking on the tub had mold/mildew all over it. I couldn't get the tub to switch to the shower so the boyfriend had to & he was worried he was going to break it.We also had to get more pillows & blankets since the king bed only had 2 very orn out pillows. There are spots all over the walls. Did use the fridge but the cabinet they have it in looks like there is water damage to the bottom & the floor outside of it was damp. The ac unit wasn't working very well so I took the filters out - they were completely covered with stuff. The remote had no batteries (which we also bought) or back cover & when you turn the TV on it's at 99 for the volume level. I understand they are going through a remodel but there is no excuse to how this room was & charging a deposit for damage on top of that.
I’ve stayed here before a couple of times this year back in Sept. and in June. Something went downhill FAST since. I won’t stay again unless I can verify room cleanliness. Immediately entered room to the smell of damp stink. Water damage apparent on wall as water had drained from top level down wall to make paint bubble. Two dead cockroaches in bathroom. One live cockroach crawling along dresser. I nearly checked out to get another room somewhere else in town. Shower did not drain, so standing in water as I bathe. No bed bugs thankfully. That’s what I reserve for 1 star. And when I checked in, the guy at the desk hits you with an extreme dose of body odor. There are standards of cleanliness which are lacking here. To their credit, they were planning to do a renovation of the entire facility. Hopefully that fixes everything. Don’t let the hook of a low price draw you in. I will gladly pay more not to have this experience again.
