Easy and friendly check in

The cover thing about the hotel was the location. Great view of the beach and ocean and easy to walk e everywhere. Room was close to the pool and parking was free and easy. The shower leaked through the bottom by the door. People by pool woke us at 3:00 am one night not a 5 star hotel but I’d stay there again. Not expensive. Nice staff

Room descriptions are mixed up on site, as I had an issue at check-in on the type of room I was to get. The check-in process was easy. Diana was polite and professional. My 1st room was on the 5th floor and it smelled old and stale, like funky carpet. It was probably the curtains and chairs. The view was not what I paid for in the app, so I was disappointed and spent an hour contacting you all to rectify the situation. By the time I did, Diana was gone and the receptionist was Chutney or something similar. He provided the keys to 511 and I made my way there. The room was right off the elevators. I specifically requested they it not be. The door to the room looked as if someone pryed it open. The deadbolt didn't go flush into the hole and I didn't feel safe. I expressed my disappointment to "Chutney" and he was very dismissive and condescending. To advise me that the hotel has cameras when my room door looks like it can easily be opened is quite offensive. He needs sensitivity training and needs to learn to control the smirks. Very unprofessional! The manager, "Sibumile", (the names elude me now), took over an hour to meet with me. Totally unacceptable! Then he didn't have another room waiting, when he should have spoken with his staff to see what my issue was. They all need more training. He finally put me in another room, and I continued my stay. The bar staff is top notch and the hotel staff should learn from that manager on how to actually manage.

There was nothing LUX about it. We were in an outside room. We had to walk up a flight with a rail and then up another flight of metal stair to get to the room. On opening the door we were met with the overwhelming smell of a deoderiser that was actually hiding the damo smell. The room was clean but the bathroom had a chipped basin, cracked floor & wall tilea. The shower cubicle was coming loose from the wall. There was mold on the tiles and door resessers and ceiling. Ventalation was poor in the bathroom.

The apartment was lovely, despite a few minor details. I would highly recommend it as a holiday venue, as it is right on the beach, and easily reachable by road from anywhere in the city. The amenities in the apartment are very good, clean, and well-maintained for a self-catering stay. The reception ladies were very warm and welcoming; it was like coming home. They reacted immediately to any concern or request; their professionalism is of the highest level. The view of the harbour and passing ships was very romantic and evocative of voyages, certainly giving memorable moments.

I had a lovely stay. Beautiful virw over the city from upper level Can highly recommend the spa

The location is excellent, but our stay was marred by frustrating service. We constantly had to call 3–4 times just to get simple room service items delivered. The staff also showed little flexibility when we requested a rushed takeaway breakfast—they flatly refused without offering any workaround. To make matters worse, the inability to charge incidentals to the room feels outdated and impractical. Overall, a disappointing experience given the hotel's potential.
