I remember when the hotel was built about 3 years ago. On this trip, I needed a one-night stop in MK and thought I’d try it. I’m glad I did.
The hotel is certainly not your standard brand name hotel. They taken the ho-hum out of hotel and added some pleasant touches. No prim and proper front desk, check-in is done at the bar and I’ve never had a more pleasant and quick experience. The front lobby area, the lounge and bar are all geared for casual comfort. Even the breakfast area was different as the service windows had drop-down metal gates with graffiti. A definite young, urban feel to the whole property. And being right next to The Hub in MK Central, which brings in a ton of young adults on weekend nights with its many restaurant, bar and club offerings, this hotel fits right in.
Still, being 3 or more years old, the rooms are still clean, look like new, and very comfortable. Again, these aren’t the usual overly large rooms in many places. But you don’t feel closed in when in these rooms. They’re great when you need a bed and base of operations for a night or two.
And if you think that the common areas and room are casual and hip, it’s no surprise that the staff embodies all of that and more. They are friendly, helpful and just plain fun. I will certainly be back.
