I have stayed at this same hotel for the last 3 years during the state fair. I feel the cleanliness was worse this year. I opened my room and it smelt like wet dog. And there were stains on the carpet. My guess this was a pet friendly room. That maybe the stains were from a dog? If so, gross. Also, there is ALOT of us that come down in groups. We are not allowed to eat in the pool area and too many for us all to be in one room. There was no access for us to sit in the breakfast area to eat.

Staff who greeted me was nice until I asked not to be on first floor because the carpets are smelly and worn. I asked for 2nd floor ( where I frequently stay.. it is the floor for business people. After a considerable time she gave me a room that was view to the highway free way bridge with constant noise and stop lights. The tv did not work. I went back to desk and said I wanted another room. The tv doesn’t work either. She can to the room and fixed the tv…. But shortly after she left… it could not be turned off. It stayed on all night. There were very few people in the hotel.. I could have been, better accommodated. I returned from being out and couldn’t get into my room. I had to go to the desk and the nice person gave me a new key. I asked what happened, I’d already been there several days. He apologized. He didn’t know. I have been there many times, this was not a good stay.

The lady at the front desk (I wish I knew her name) had the best personality she worked breakfast yesterday. She brings great energy to the place. The room was nice and comfortable the carpet was a little dirty but I didn’t mind I was just taking a solo time out trip. Hotel was great I’ll be going there again when I’m in town the rooms were spacious and had everything I needed
