The guy at the desk was nice. Gave me a room and I went to the room, and I was shocked. Seemed like I walked into somebody else’s room. Not cool. Then I went back to the desk and told him about it which he was shocked himself. Then he gave me a new room. The new room smelled like it had wet carpet and mildew. Walls were dirty. Dressers were dirty. Just not cleaned. Then my lady went to talk to the guy. He politely came up to check it out. Which he gave us a new room. It was fine at first until we noticed a lot of things. Walls were dirty, carpet was definitely cleaned or vacuumed. Dressers were filthy. Bathroom door was cracked like someone forced entry. Walls had weird stuff on it. The bed baseboard was clearly not cleaned as it had had prints all over it which I understand (wink) but it should’ve been cleaned. Behind the bed and dressers by the bed had food and crumbs and white substances on the carpet. The chair also had stains and clearly wasn’t clean. The remote to the TV was sticky and wet and also not cleaned. The bathroom sink wasn’t cleaned. We also had a empty roll of toilet paper. The tea bags weren’t bagged and left out in the open. Which is very odd. The bed sheets seemed they were not cleaned as there was fibers and hairs on the sheets. I have pictures of it all. Definitely not for a family with a baby. Will not be returning.

I would like to see more security cameras I didn't see that many I may have been wrong and didn't see them. I would like to see them use room fresheners due to it being an older building that used to be smoked in

Thick cigarette and marijuana smoke in the hallway, room was filthy, smelled like mold, hole punched in bathroom door, room door you could see light through all the cracks-I think someone could easily open it from the outside if they really wanted to. Never again.

Pleasantly Surprised!
When we lived in Mounds View, this property seemed very run down and sketchy at best. We thought we would try it since they changed their name, and appears their ownership. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was. Outdated for sure, but very clean. It was surprisingly quiet. Will definitely stay here again when we visit the cities!!

This hotel seems like it’s trying hard on a tight budget. Guessing the man working the front desk is the owner, housekeeper, & employee. Never had I ever had the hotel call me to see if I was going to check in because they were booked (it was before 6 PM) yet I only ever saw 2 couples the time I was there & it was super quiet on a Saturday night during the state fair. Pros- water pressure good, AC was blasting which was nice after a long day of travel & state fair, bed was firm that I like. Outside area looks like they’re trying to upgrade landscaping. Lobby looked clean but not very inviting to chill out in. Cons- None of the USB charging ports worked but outlets did. One was full on busted, when I told the front desk he didn’t care. There was no liner in the ice bucket & when I asked for one he literally pulled it out from in front of him. There are tea bags laid out that aren’t packaged & a single pen laid out with no cap & no paper. The lotion, shampoo/conditioner were all different brands & turned upside down so guessing they’re reused. Seat in room had crumbs on it along with walls not finished. It smelled like an old bowling alley with the musty smoke aftermath. Breakfast only went until 9 so I didn’t partake, but if you need a place close to a park & ride for the state fair for a sleep it was worth it for the price. Area seemed safe. McDonald’s & a church are the neighbors.
