You get what you pay for

Room 209 was clean enough. Not spotless. Needs some repairs in the shower. Maybe a nice shower head would be an upgrade too. The pullout couch was a must for our 5th family member, however it was hurry rigged with automotive tie downs and unable to be used as such. We took the foam “mattress” off, doubled it over on the floor with a sheet on it and my son was able to sleep like that. The pool was very small. Kudos to their marketing team for making it seem bigger in pictures. The front desk staff, especially Josh, were very nice and kindly helped with all our needs. The breakfast was about what one expects from most continental types so eat out or bring cereal. It is close to a lot of restaurants and fast food. We were there for Mall of America and it was quick and easy to get there and back. Overall, you get what you pay for…

Executive suite’s review!

It was a great stay, I live in a neighboring city next to grand stay and this was my first experience there.. the room was the best I’ve been in in years. And I’m not the type of guy to even leave reviews but yeah the room I had was great! Highly recommend the executive suites! Staff was great and the place was low key and quiet and classy. Plus the breakfast was pretty good as well

Room service had to be requested and even when it was requested we didnt get it. The breakfast was okay variety but food was not very good. The room itself was big and had decent amenities. The plug in bathtub was starting to get plugged so water collected and didn’t drain fast.

The stay here was the worst I've ever had a hotel. While getting breakfast (and before checking out), housekeeping entered our room, threw away groceries we just purchased, and took my girlfriend's belongings to the counter. To top it off, there was a "do not disturb" sign I left on the door. When speaking to the Ass. Gen. Manager, she immediately became defensive and uncooperative in finding a resolution to the matter. And said the general manager won't be available for a month. The initial intrusion and inconvenience left us feeling violated, and has caused my girlfriend all kinds of anxiety. The assistant manager's response left me more upset and angry than the housekeeping incident. I recommend finding another place to stay if you value your safety and security, especially if you are a lone female traveler. I'll never stay here again and highly recommend you find a place to stay with better management and customer service. In addition to this incident, some toiletries like lotion and toothbrushes were missing initially and we only noticed after the housekeeping intrusion. Additionally, all of the rooms in the suite felt unsweeped or dirty. The fit and finish of the rooms was subpar. The flooring doesn't run all the way to the walls, there are nail holes with mission mirrors or paintings, and the adjustable shower wand rail ends up lowering to about 4 feet and is very difficult to raise up again. A terrible experience from a bad assistant manager in 1star place.

No carpet in room, not even a mat for wet shoes. 2 towels for 6 people. No towels in pool area unless asked. Staff overworked and too busy to be nice. Bathroom had bad lighting and the shower had terrible pressure. Cheap fixes to broken floor in shower (felt unsafe) and sink smelled bad and didn't drain. No extra garbage bags. Asked for blankets for pull out couch and was told they didn’t have any. So kids had to sleep with only a sheet. Breakfast was decent and the beds were clean though.
