Not so secure!

A main floor door at the end of a corridor would not shut or lock. I am 6'5 and 260 lbs. and could not get the door closed. So much for a secure facility. Also in the morning, the front automatic doors were broken and had to exit out a side door.

The rooms themselves are great for the price. I love this place at this price point. Very clean. Everything works. Fridge. Microwave. Staff is prompt. the outside is harsh. but I keep coming back here. The house cleaning staff needs a bonus and a hug.

Extremely unsatisfactory. Would never stay again.

The shuttle from the airport was dangerous-the seatbelt was broken and could not be fastened. The front door to the hotel was broken and had to use the back door to get in and out. Wallpaper was ripped and hanging in strips from the ceiling and walls. Carpets were dirty. The so called breakfast consisted of milk, coffee, two cereals, and instant oatmeal. The orange juice and apple juice machine was out of order. No fruit, yogurt, bread, muffins, eggs, waffles or anything normally associated with a La Quinta breakfast. The room did not have Kleenex or a clock. The hallways smelled of cigarrete smoke .and one person walked in from outside smoking. The staff was surly and did not want to check us in since it was around 2:00 in the morning since our flight from Denver had been delayed. I had called La Quinta customer service since we were going to be late but the staff at the front desk refused to honor anything the customer service told us. The staff demanded $50 for early check in and a $100 refundable fee on top of the paid for booking. When the fee was refunded that morning there was also an unauthorized charge to Walmart.com of $94 at the same time. This hotel gives La Quinta a bad reputation.

The room was clean and stocked. Showers were nice with good water pressure. The "breakfast" as advertised was nothing more than barely filled cereal containers and questionable milk, along with lukewarm burnt bean water, even when arriving early for breakfast. The staff were not friendly with us at check in as well.

Room was dirty. There was a smell in the room, so id avise getting air fresheners to leave in the room. The smell is likely from the dirty, old carpet. The bathroom fixtures are all old, the fixture on the ceiling was hanging and i honestly kept wondering if a camera might be up there. The continental breakfast offered was a milk jug with white liquid (didn't see a label, so it could have been powdered milk and the jug being reused for all i know) and the cereal was rice krispies and corn/frosted flakes in a plstic dispenser. I tried to check out, the guy just said okay and didnt ask for a name or room number. There seems to be people who live at the hotel, they seemed to hang in their cars all day/night (possibly doing drugs?) The towels looked a bit dirty and had a weird smell. It's within walking distance of a gas station, McDonald's, Culver's, liquor store and a few other places. If you dont mind walking across a bridge to the other side of the interstate, there's a mexican food and grocey store. Hotel needs many improvements. Not what i expected.

The only good thing about the hotel is the front desk staff and the airport shuttle. The property is severely worn down. There were bleach spots all over the carpet, the carpet was incredibly loose and posed a trip hazard. The bathroom had boogers on the wall and an obvious (poorly done) patch job on the wall. The metal top of the sink stopper (the little metal piece that normally covers the drain) was missing. Several hallways wreaked of cigarette smoke. The towels were incredibly worn. The breakfast was literally just two types of cereal that you couldnt even eat because the milk was completely out with no one to be found to resolve the issue. The juice machine was out of order as well so breakfast was literally coffee and dry cereal. La Quinta is normally my go to budget hotel, but this didn't meet any of the basics. It seems like its owned by a slum lord that resents their employees and therefore cant keep it staffed. Very disappointing. Oh and the seatbelt on the airport shuttle was broken as was the step to assist getting in the van. I wasnt able to do up my seatbelt.

This La Quinta is old and shows it. The carpets are stained in therooms and hallways. Breakfast is almost nonexistent. When we checked in someone was verbally fighting with the guy at the desk. This place can’t compare to the La Quinta we stayed at the night before.
