50th Anniversary stay not so good

Our 50th anniversary turned out to be a hot mess in more ways than one. The heating system had us convinced we were in a tropical paradise. We set the thermostat to 72, but it soared to 80 by nightfall. Sleep was as elusive as a unicorn, and a call to the front desk only yielded a suggestion to turn it off and open a window. With the AC off, we felt like we were marinating in our own sweat. The cleaning left much to be desired, with hair in the bathtub and a spill on the floor that looked like no one's guess. The room looked like it was skimmed over with zero attention. And if that wasn't enough, after spending an arm and a leg on our room, we had a 250.00 dinner at the restaurant. To top it all off, we had to buy our own coffee in the morning! We felt very disappointed and our milestone celebration was anything but memorable.
