attempted to check in early but no rooms were ready. I checked in after 3pm, when I was in my room putting stuff up a staff member attempted to come into my room with their key card. He said he was supervisor doing room check. I don’t care who you are you should be coming into someone’s room after they checked in to see if it’s clean. It freaked me out. Unacceptable!

The room was in acceptable condition but had an overpowering smell of cleaning chemicals, likely intended to mask the cigarette smoke odor. The TV did not work, which they apparently knew about but did not fix until after I called. Additionally, the hairdryer and the bathroom sink outlet were broken. The only reasons I did not give a lower rating are that the front desk attendant and maintenance man were both friendly and helpful.

Three pros of the room: 1) it was newly-renovated – it actually did look like the example photos online. 2) I appreciated that it had a small desk where I could work. 3) It had a mini-fridge and microwave! Two cons of the room: 1) even when I turned down the heat all the way, it didn't seem to respond so the room was quite hot. Fortunately the window opened which allowed me to be able to sleep (without having to resort to using the AC). 2) the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke for my whole stay, even when I kept the fan running – it must have been baked into the ceiling or something. An air freshener in there would have gone a long way. As always, the free breakfast and overall value of a Days Inn were pluses. It was overall not the best experience I've had at a Days Inn but not the worst either!

The room at check-in was 85+ degrees could not turn it down turned on air that worked for one hour and quit had to open window when it was 10 degrees out the beds were rock hard but not as bad as the bricks for pillows will never stay there again
