The rooms were cozy, clean, and had great character. Really comfortable accommodations. The hotel was also walkable to all of my favorite Missoula food and drink spots. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking, but the staff were very accommodating to help us get our gear inside and the area felt very safe to park a car nearby.

The Wren is a great small modern hotel. The room was well designed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower (and robes!) were great. The staff was especially helpful. There is an excellent cafe off the lobby. It is walkable to anywhere in downtown Missoula; I also walked easily to the University. Definitely would stay again happily.

Don’t forget your earplugs!

Really noisy, from loud neighbors’ doors to endless trains at night to the Union bar below. Don’t forget your earplugs!

We were in town for the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and spent 3 nights at the Wren. We enjoyed every moment in this lovely town. It's worth noting that we were quite pleasantly surprised with the number of businesses that openly welcome diversity and inclusion. We were grateful to have booked our stay at The Wren, for their grounds, room, staff, and amenities were awesome. The location is ideal for walking everywhere we wanted to be, and we appreciated not having to rent a car. Mylan at the front desk was especially kind and helpful. It was very convenient and appreciated having a place to get coffee and a pastry connected to the hotel. There was one thing that we were not aware of that did affect our quality of sleep--the sounds of the trains passing by throughout the night are quite loud. However, this wasn't enough to influence our positive experience at this lovely establishment. We would definitely choose to stay at The Wren if we ever find ourselves in Missoula again in the future.
