There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub and the kitchenette area. We went down to dinner and asked the front desk if they could have someone go up and vacuum while we were at dinner and the reply was I can’t leave the desk and can’t go in your room when no one is in the room and the cleaning crew has gone home but said they could give me a vacuum to vacuum the floors. We went to dinner and checked out, went up to the room to get our bags and on the way out saw a dead cockroach in the hall. They front desk clerk told me he refunded my entire stay including the first night but he did not.it was also dark when we checked in at 6:30 and the parking lot lights were not on. So disappointed in a Hilton property.

Front desk person was a young girl more interested in her electronic reader and finishing her story that dealing with customers in front of her. Later, outr key card didn’t work on the side door. We knocked but she just sat there sitting Indian style at the desk looking at us. Another guest finally opened the door. Room was not stocked fully and we were told items had been on back order for 2 months (plenty of time to have a back up plan). When we talked to a supervisor the next morning (no manager available) she told us they would do one of two things, give us a refund or additional points on our Hilton honors account. Neither happened and we never heard from them again. Absolutely not what we expect for Hilton honors members.

The entire hotel was supposed to be smoke free but I guess my didn’t apply to that policy. When I opened the door I was greeted by the smell cigarette smoke. I reported it to Kelsey at the front desk and she said all she could do was write it down and couldn’t put me in another room. I tried to sanitize the air with Fabreeze odor neutralizing spray but it didn’t help. Carpet had patches of sticky spots and the shower wasn’t clean.

Don't pay for the breakfast

I stayed at a Home2 Suites in Illinois and they had the best Breakfast I've ever had at a hotel included in price of the room. So, I was very disappointed to find that the breakfast here in Mobile was little more than a continental breakfast you get at a motel 6 plus they wanted you to pay $15 f Other than that the hotelor it. There was a Crackle Barrel walking distance away that provided made to order food for less than $15.. Get with the other Home2 Suites and bring yours up a notch. Other than that the hotel was older but fine.
