Family owned and operated. No elevator, but rooms on every half-landing. Rooms are large and offer kettles and small fridges - you might want yo ask for that individually so it can be cooled down before arrival. Breakfast available for 10 €, ask when check-in.

Very comfortable, clean, value for money hotel with friendly staff. Ideally placed very close to the railway station. The only downside thzt although it didn't effect me, others may need to consider is that's there's only stairs and no lift. There are only a couple of rooms on each of the six floors

For a small place in Mönchengladbach, I was pretty impressed. The big problem with this property is that if you have a big suitcase there is no elevator.

Better than expected
Everything was very fine, the room is clean and look new, very convinient location, close to everything. I got a room facing the street, and it was still quiet. The stuff is helpful. All in all only good to say. Will decently stay there again

Fair Hotel Monchengladbach.
Basic hotel, very central, on the main street, 50 meters from train station. I accidentally booked the wrong night (non refundable) but they very helpfully allowed me to change. No safe or tea/coffee facilities in the room, otherwise pretty good.

great stay. price and a beautiful bathroom and large comfortable room with an ice cold mini refrigerator and comfortable down pillows, and large flat screen tv. Overall excellent. And the location 1/2 block from the train station. Wonderful.

The rooms have obviously been newly renovated recently and I was pleasantly surprised by the condition and standard of the room. Great value for money and helpful staff.

Nice friendly hotel, great location
A minutes walk from the central station in one direction, 2 minutes walk to all the shops the other way. Monchengladbach isn't exactly a thriving metropolis or party venue, so don't expect excitement of any sort. Can't grumble at the hotel though, clean, great location, staff were really friendly and helpful too. Would certainly stay here again if I'm unfortunate enough to end up in Monchengladbach again.

Lovely Week in Moenchengladbach!
This hotel is only 100m from main rail station so ideal location. Hotel is relatively small but very friendly. Staff cannot do enough to help. Of particular help was Ilya, whose excellent English made our lives much easier. Rooms are very modern,, clean and tidy with daily room service. They are fairly basic but absolutely adequate for a stay. Breakfast is available from 7-10am at a cost of 8 euros. We did not use this as directly next to hotel are two cafes which open around 5am. If I were to return to MG I would certainly use this hotel again.

A little gem
This hotel is in an excellent position for accessing the excellent German public transport system. Although very close to the bus and train station these could not be heard from the room. This hotel does not have a 24hour reception so if you just need a comfortable and clean space to lay your head, and are a confident traveller who does not require 'tourist information' from a concierge, this is an ideal hotel to do this. All areas were spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful and the water was hot! Reception staff were polite and helpful when they were there. The bed was comfy, although the pillow was too soft for me. The main shops are on the same road and there are restaurants to be found by walking both left and right from the hotel. Most European hotels do not provide kettles in the rooms and one additional bonus for this hotel is that there is a coffee shop on both sides so great to nip down for that first coffee of the day (which we took back to our room)! The continental breakfast was good - but maybe some pastries as an alternative to bread rolls would have been good. I would return to this hotel if I was in the Monchengladbach area again.

No hotel car park - had to park in a multi-storey about 100 metres away. No lift in hotel although the stairs were not demanding. Very modern room, extremely comfortable beds, great bathroom - all spotlessly clean. Good selection of items for breakfast. Staff helpful.

Fair Hotel - Monchengladbach
Staff are very friendly and informative, we were met by a man on reception ( we cannot record his name) he was very helpful and after we checked in he ran our cases up to our room. Very good breakfast, ample rolls cheese, meats, fruit and good supply of fresh coffee. We stayed for 3 nights and would recommend this hotel, very convenient for the train station. Thank you for making our stay a comfortable one.

A clean modern hotel with a bit of street noise.
I arrived at 1AM but called the receptionist earlier in the night to arrange to pick up keys in a locked safebox outside the door. The room was very modern looking and in immaculate condition. As I got ready for bed, I started hearing street noise from people at the train station across the street from the hotel, as well as the frequent buzzing sound from the pedestrian crossing indicator on the street. I then used ear plugs and slept like a baby. The hotel itself was very quiet and clean all around.

Very Central
Great location for a reasonably priced hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only problem is that there is no lift, so if you are on a high floor be prepared to climb a lot of stairs! Worth the climb and the money though to be so close to the train station.

It is à practical and very convenient hotel. We arrived late but it was well organized by hotel. It is overall quiet and room equipped with all necessary facilities, even a fridge. The only (negative) surprise was the unexpected hair found on the bath towel which is indeed very unfavourite, but I consider it quickly improvable. Thus lost rating of cleanliness. Despite so, it does not influence my willingness of next stay.
