I'm rather disappointed in the overall experience of staying here. The rooms are clean, the dining and cleaning staff are very friendly and polite. The breakfast was good, its convenient. That said, we drove 12 hrs and when checking in were discussing the pool and hot tub being precisely why we chose this hotel, we were informed they were closed because of an incident involving glass. We were disappointed after a long day of driving, but not mad or rude about it since it was not the hotels fault, however the front counter clerk, though she wasnt unpleasant, she wasnt very comforting or helpful and simply said "I can cancel and you can find somewhere else, if you want.." which, at 530pm, after 12hrs of driving, isnt exactly ideal. A sincere "I'm so sorry" or an offer for late check out on the house, maybe a concession credit, anything would have been better than "well, you can find somewhere else if you want".
Once in our room and settled after dinner and unpacking we discovered that the gym was equipped with broken/non functional machines, the /AC/heating unit didnt work and at 5am when I tried to shower, there was no hot water in our room. With sleeping kids, changing rooms at 10pm or 5am wasn't exactly ideal.
Maybe we just had a one-off experience, and it wasnt *awful* it was just very disappointing and for $150 just to sleep and wake to construction outside my window at 7am, I could have stayed with local family but was looking forward to utilizing the facilities.
