Property was ok, it was clean but the area surrounding the motel smelled like dog poop
Front desk was very nice and accommodating but what caused us to leave within an hour of getting into our room was the HORRENDOUS smell of marjuanna and the air had not been turned on so it was so hot that it just couldn’t cool the room down. We knew it was a non refundable stay so we just ate the 80.00 plus the 16$ in key cash we had earned from previous stays at other places.
The breakfast options were decent, but what was most concerning is the condition of the room doors. The peepholes did not grant you access to outside, which is concerning if you want to know who is knocking at your door. Also, the door jambs connected to the door were broken and/or loose, which also didn’t help with feeling secure in unfamiliar territory.
The BATHROOM WAS VERY SMALL,PLUS THEY SHOULD GRAB BARS WHEN GETTING OUT OF THE SHOWER. VERY SLIPPERY TUB AND FLOOR. THE FRIGIDAIRE WAS VERY LOUD,AND THERE WAS A GAP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ENTRANCE DOOR OF THE ROOM.
Staff was friendly, and check in/check pit was a breeze! I appreciated the tv service. It was not constantly interrupted as some hotels i have stayed at have been. A channel guide would have been a plus.
I was in the parking lot of the Quality Inn in Madison, GA when I booked the room. Within 5 minutes I walked in and was notified I did not have a reservation, so I contacted hotels.com immediately and was told I should be in Monroe - I requested to transter to the correct hotel and was told they would call to cancel, no one answered at the Monroe location to assist - so I booked a room for the night in Madison with the expection to receive a redund when someone decided to answer the phone. 2 days later I am told I would not be receiving a refund because I did not cancel that night. I will NEVER use Quality Inn / Choice Hotels or hotels.com again.
Madison location was old and in need of repairs.
