The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the continental breakfast decent, and the staff friendly. The lobby was warm and inviting, and the views of the Russian River were incredible. We can't wait to book our next stay there!

Charm! Charm! Charm! From the moment I drove up in the driving rain, until pulling out in the drizzle, Highland Dell Lodge exceeded my expectations! Check in was the self explanatory keys in an envelope taped to the door. The lobby was cozy and artistically designed with board games by a river stone fireplace. Up the stairs to my modest sized room with a balcony overlooking the river and I found the peace I was hoping for to ring in the new year. French doors I opened to the sound of the rain and ducks greeting each other. A comfortable bed, crisp linens, good options on the TV, and a shallow but long bathtub gave me much needed repose. Sleep came easy after hearing the sounds of revelry echoing on the river at Midnight. In the morning, included breakfast in the event center. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays with lights, a tree, village houses and gifts. Continental breakfast options included fresh fruit, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, juice, cereals, an array of fresh baked goods, and more. The patio with a bridge and river view was a tranquil spot for my first meal of the new year. A checkout and chat with the amiable host and owner of Highland Dell completed my stay. I highly recommend a stay, or even hosting an event at this beautiful and comfortable venue.

Really nice location. Clean (albeit a few cobwebs in the room) updated older property. Had a nice vibe reminiscent of days gone by. Very accommodating innkeepers- friendly and efficient in meeting our needs. Would have loved to have had a tea kettle and a mini fridge in the room, though space is tight. We would go back again.

Nice place,very rustic as you would expect.. Could use a coffee station and ice machine,if there was one i couldnt find it! Room needs a frig!!! Otherwise the room was on the smaller side but was spotless clean. Breakfast was standard cereal /toast/ slice cakes/ fruit/ coffee/juice I would stay here again

Beautiful inn by the River.

Wonderful inn with a unique and updated but historical feel; owners were very personable. Picturesque views, great restaurant. Highly recommend!

Very quaint hotel with a view of the river. Breakfast was continental; dinner was in the dining room or outside on the patio. Only issue was that there is no elevator and rooms are upstairs. I struggled with my bags up and down stairs. There was staff there but they paid no attention. Other older guests were there so I’m not sure how they managed.

Hidden gem on the river

An amazing weekend away. Went for our anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better stay. Everything was spotless and friendly. We had a beautiful view from our deck of the beach on the other side of the river and the German restaurant downstairs was delicious as well.

Family run. Food was delicious 😋 So peaceful. Even music from across the river made for excellent atmosphere. Easy to take my little fur baby out for potty. Very welcoming.
