The staff at Hotel Maximus were extremely polite, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. They were by far the highlight of our experience. The room was surprisingly spacious for Rome, which we appreciated. However, it was not as clean as we expected. The biggest drawback was the location. Although it is relatively close to the main train station, it is far from most of Rome’s main attractions. The neighborhood is not very tourist-oriented, and we didn’t feel particularly comfortable walking around at night. One evening, there was no hot water for showers, which was very disappointing after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, we found our stay disappointing, even for a three-star hotel. While the staff were excellent, the location, cleanliness, and hot water issue significantly affected our experience.

The Hotel is in an excellent location, the staff at reception Giuseppe (both of them) were very helpful. Everything worked very well with respect to the hotel rooms, high ceilings, brand new renovated rooms and bathrooms compared to other hotels nearby. At no additional cost , you have little Aperitivo everyday .. The only complaint (not really a complaint but an observation) - is the breakfast can have a few more items like healthy cereals..

Excellent hotel in a fantastic area. This hotel is located in a more quiet residential style neighbourhood rather than the busy city but is well within walking distance to the city centre and Vatican. Also close to major bus and metro routes making travel quick and easy across the city or further away. Was very impressed with the hotel’s standards, cleanliness, amenities and modernisation. The room size was great and it was peaceful. This is a very personal hotel and the staff make every effort to make you feel at home. The staff are very helpful and friendly, at both reception and the cleaning staff. Breakfast was great with a wide range of options and there is also food/drink available in their outdoor space. There is not a bad word to say about our stay and would love to stay again on our next visit. Thank you to all at Apollo Boutique!

Honestly a highlight of the trip. Staff could not have been more helpful. Food was amazing, pool was relaxing and serene; they even set up a viewing party for the world cup game for us!! Cannot recommend this place more! Quiet and clean.

Loved everything about the hotel. As great as the outdoor pool was, the indoor pool was even more amazing. Everything about the hotel was first class! Will definitely stay here again when in Rome.
