After moving to an air conditioned room and getting the premium drinks upgrade our stay definitely improved. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help you with whatever you ask. Evenings entertainment showed some great talent, most singers were amazing. Daytime activities were fun but were limited to very few. System for the shuttle bus to town could be improved as it was a free for all and people had to eventually get back off. Breakfast and lunch options were good however dinner was a hit or miss and we ate out a few times as a result. I would recommend this hotel as its waterfront location is beautiful however only if you get the upgraded options.

We were not able to check in on time and were left waiting longer than expected.

Dated hotel and rooms. Only one outlet in the rooms, which was behind the TV, but they did provide an extension cord. Toilet would run after flushing. Bed and pillows were pretty decent, which was the primary purpose of staying at the hotel to get some sleep before an early flight but otherwise not great.

Rooms and hotel were clean and in a good location with plenty of places to eat nearby. The bathroom was a bit dated and only hand wash and body/hair shampoo available, no conditioner or hand cream that would normally come with a 4 star hotel. Free parking which most of the time we were able to get a spare (first come first serve) however we did have to use a local multistorey when full. Overall a nice hotel with 2 decent sizes pools with plenty of deck chairs again. Breakfast was ok with plenty of options and we ate out for dinner so can't comment on the evening meals.

Check in was easy as host sent helpful instructions ahead of time. Free street car parking is available, there is also a garage but because it’s down a steep hill and the garage itself is a little cramped it’s not the greatest to use. Location is great for driving out around the island. Not much in terms of restaurants and bars in the area, except Quinta Estação Restaurante which was a short walk down the road and worth a visit. Apartment itself is nice and spacious, with lots of pots and utensils in the kitchen. View from the balcony is nice.
