Check-In took forever even though I was second in line. Only two clerks were working but I remained optimistic. When we got to the room, I was so disappointed. The room was bare and on top of that, two double beds instead of the one king we wanted. We immediately requested a room change and Mr. Redway did not stop until my partner and I were absolutely satisfied. We got a room upgrade and it made all the difference. The new room was more of what we were expecting. That out the way, the staff was extremely pleasant and everything from there went perfectly well. The food was great. The entertainment was great and we simply cannot wait to go back!!!

The repost itself was beautiful but the food was absolutely horrible. The buffets served cold, overcooked and undercooked food. The rice was hard as rocks and everything was under heat lamps but cold or lukewarm. There was No entertainment on Friday night and limited entertainment (shows) during my stay for Mother’s Day weekend (Friday through Monday). My vacation was very disappointing to say the least. I will not return to Bahia Principe Grand.

For the most part, the staff wasn’t very friendly. They lacked empathy and compassion. The air wasn’t working in my room and they gave me a hard time about switching rooms. I went with a group of 12 people and there were cockroaches in some rooms and around the property. There are very few elevators, not convenient for disabled or elderly people with limitations. My grandma had a hard time getting around the property.

Disappointing honeymoon stay. Many amenities weren’t available, staff seemed disengaged, and our room wasn’t clean. We later learned the hotel was recently sold and will close in 2026 for renovations—explains the lack of care. Not as advertised! Felt bait and switched. Will not be returning or recommending.

Air conditioning was very poor. Ribeyes at the Knife were extremely poor, I couldn’t eat it. Food was hidden and brought out to certain people. Bus ride from airport took three hours. Many complained about it being too hot.

I did not that I was CHARGED for 3 people for the show on Thursday May 8th when I was the only one out of the three person in my room to attend. To me the staff acted as if I was lying when I asked if there were cameras to see that the other persons did not attend

Overall I rate it a 4/10. Food is okay. They cook the same thing everyday so that gets old. The property is very old so our shower broke off the wall, the outlets stopped working so we didn’t have a way to charge our devices in the room, and the tv stopped working multiple times so we have to make many request to have the maintenance man come reset it. The worse part was the housekeepers had the worse attitude I ever experienced. I guess they just hated their jobs because they often rolled their eyes or ignored us when we asked questions! The entertainment crew was lit! They were very friendly! Definitely wouldn’t recommend and will not be back!

Avoid at all costs. Our stay at Bahia Principe Jamaica was a disaster from start to finish. Check-in was chaotic and painfully slow, even after a long travel day with a toddler. Our upgraded room was filthy—torn sheets, stained bedding, unstable furniture, and totally unsafe for a child. The resort is not stroller- or wheelchair-friendly, making it extremely difficult to get around. Despite being "all-inclusive," we were limited to two dinner reservations in six days. The buffets were unsanitary, with flies everywhere and poor food handling. We even saw a waiter hide wine in a flower pot. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and couldn’t answer basic questions. Complaints went nowhere. The resort also sells day passes, leading to overcrowding, trashed pool areas, and constant marijuana smoke. By Day 3, we left early and paid out of pocket to stay elsewhere for the sake of our child’s birthday. Don’t waste your money or your time here. I have so much more to say, but not enough room to share our full disappointment.
