My chief complained is the flies in the dining room. All over the food especially the bread not covered . One evening while I am eating a fly dived into my plate. In the main lobby they have juice and the glasses turned up with the flies around the rims. I reported it to the guest service and nothing done. The beach need some cleaning. My clothes messed up with gum on the dining room chair. I am disappointed with my stay.

Very clean location, food was great. Jerk chicken and pork was my favorites. The staffs were very help and friendly, seems like everyone was willing to help. Beach was clean and clear waters. It very family friendly. I will recommend it. Problems: we wouldn't get towel so pack a beach towels. The entertainment can used some improvements. I like the quietness and sometime i needed some good Jamaican vibe which was flat.

Love this property as it has everything needed onsite!! Very convenient for excursions and visits into the town shopping areas. Jamaican staff all superb, helpful and professional!! The variety of dishes which included many, many Jamaican dishes was great!! No one wants a visit to Jamaican without it's wonderful cuisine and fruits!!!

This is a great resort for families. The food was good, entertainment was great and property is beautiful. Only thing I didn’t like were the rooms. Bathroom have no ventilation, walls very thin you can hear the ppl in the other room. Outside of that it was great and I was impressed with how clean everything was! My kids (teenagers) first time in Jamaica and they said they would want to come back to this resort!

Took my family here. Property is very nice. Parts were under construction but did not take away from the experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good. You get what you pay for! Honestly this hotel was convient for me and my friends because we meet people off the resort. The food is sooooo horrible I was here for 5 days and the only thing I liked that was good was the curry goat and the jerk chicken from by the pool side. The fruits was horrible some was spoiled some had no sweetness. The breakfast was ok I got my omelette made because the eggs they was serving was very runny like they was undone. I’m honestly happy I meet people off this resort because this was my first time in Jamaica and this wasn’t a good hotel of choice. But you get what you paid for! The rooms I thought like any other country would have had a bar or even snacks. They had nothing but water.

The hotel infrastructure is in need of repairs and phone lines inclusive of television service is terrible. Slow response to customer complaints. During the summer the days are longer, thus, time restriction on use of pool and access to certain beach areas should be lifted or discretional.

I was beyond disappointed with this property. When I booked I was not aware the property was under construction. The entire adult only area of the property was closed for construction!! The first room we had was noisy. Running a jack hammer outside the door!!! The showers were dirty. We switched rooms and downgraded. We were not offered any compensation!! They just said they were sorry!! The beach seemed man made. It smelled like sewage. You couldn’t walk the beach only the hotel’s property until you hit a wall. Very disappointed. Would NOT go back.

We were group of 24 and had a fantastic time. The employees were friendly and some excellent. The property is under renovations so there were some issues with some of our rooms. The food was above average for an all inclusive.

The workers I loved but the food was horrible!!! Then they are renovating and it was very confusing navigating getting to my room which was not impressed with, then came when we booked for a resturant they tend to cater to the other race but their own race just didn’t really try when we dined in to show us the drink menu just told us they only had 2 wines yet my Caucasian friend she gave him the wine menu! Let’s do better!

This was by far one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed! The hotel itself is old and mold infected. The elevator in building 2 wasn’t working had to use the mold infested stairs. The pool closes at 6pm during summer hours. The bars don’t open until 9am, there’s only 1 pool for the entire resort. There wasn’t much entertainment during the day. The buffet is completely open birds were flying in and eating off the food. All the liquor is bottom self. You have to be a time share member to get a decent liquor. The restaurant wouldn’t let you try more than 1 meal even though it was supposed to be all-inclusive. The quality of the rooms are so poor, floors are so dirty. Mold around shower. Hallways are dirty the entire property needs to be shut down! Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed. All together it’s ran down! Staff was amazing and very accommodating to try and make it a pleasant stay but if I could give this place a -10 I would.

Nice resort. Going through renovations, so many of the rooms and resort properties were outdated. The food was just okay from a quality standpoint, but there were lots of choices on the buffet. Entertainment needed to engage the guests more and build more excitement. Overall, the resort is pleasant and the beach views are beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the staff was helpful and friendly. Looking forward to returning when the renovations are complete.

The staff at Catalonia were not welcoming at all, the food service host and supervisor were very rude at The Terrace restaurant and it seemed as if everyone had an attitude when you would inquire about something. The rooms were not updated as shown in the picture, the buffet was horrible and had fruit flies all over the fruit, wasn't too many options for people that don't eat pork such as myself. The bathroom in our room was very old, dirty and had to wear slides in the shower because of the condition, water went out on us as we were taking a shower multiple times and some guest we spoke with had no water the entire time. Our experience was horrible the only fun we had was off resort and everyone off resort was kind and friendly. I travel for experience, cleanliness, good food and great customer service and I received None of the above. If I do return to Montego Bay it will not be to the Catalonia and I most certainly would not recommend to anyone else. Upon complaining to the supervisor I never even received an apology for the rude treatment we received, no free services or anything. Never again.
