It pains me to have to share such a lengthy review about a property I stayed at for only one night.. Firstly the front desk staff were fairly pleasant and relatively helpful. I booked a king swim up suite, on entering the building you were immediately hit by the smell of smoke and mold. The room was fairly clean, however the toilet was not flushing. We reported it to concierge who sent someone over to repair it. An hour or two later the toilet was "fixed", however we proceeded to flush again and like magic, it did not flush. We repeated the process of reporting this to the concierge and again, a repairman was sent over. We should've known this was futile, as once again the toilet did not flush. We spoke to the front desk and were given a junior suite room on the fifth floor. However on entering the room we were hit with the smell of sewage. Given that this was 10pm in the night, we were frustrated and just wanted to rest after a long day of travel. The hot water in the shower was not working, the sheets smelled of urine. We were most dissatisfied and frankly disgusted. The property grounds were clean, but the food was awful. If you choose to stay in Montego Bay, please do your research and stay clear of the Hyatt Ziva/Zilara.
