We came to the Jewel Grande for my husband’s 30th birthday and it was such a blast! The staff are so nice and friendly, and went the extra mile to make the birthday celebrating special and memorable. The property is very well kept, and I found it really nice that our room was cleaned super well every single day. It was so beautiful everywhere we went on the property we loved our stay there so much we didn’t want to leave! Thank you to all those who work there for the amazing experience, we will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at the Jewel Grande. The staff were all amazing however id like to mention a couple that stood out. Upon arrival Vernon immediately made us feel welcome and assured us that we were " The Jewel of the Grande"... Gary was our favorite bar tender in the Lobby Bar always treating us like family. Shanna's huge heart and smile were both so welcoming. Entertainment work so hard and did amazing. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our 2nd stay at Jewel Grande Montego Bay. We love the ocean front junior suite with huge balcony w/ 2 lounge chairs. Love the beautiful grounds, amount of ocean/beach frontage and the vegetation. The staff is very friendly & pleasant and we felt safe there. However, this 2nd visit the food quality & selection had declined and restaurants could have been more efficient (and faster) w/service. In addition to waiting long for food to arrive, as a couple we seemed to have to wait for one of the few 2-top tables to "turn" (slowly!) rather than be given an available table for 4. I understand not wasting a table for 6-8 on a couple, but there were very few 2-top options in the restaurants and they were very stingy about letting us sit at anything other than a 2-top, even though 4-tops were available. They seemed to want to cater to the groups & families, even though we were the ones leaving tips after every meal (not necessary, but spread the wealth!). Servers also weren't efficient. They would make separate trips to bring silverware, salt, napkins and left dirty dishes on our table walking away empty-handed. We were served soup with no spoon and twice had to go after our own utensils to start eating while our food was hot. I think a training issue with servers but also feel Waves could have a few more tables inside & out and the Jam-Mex food was utterly tasteless. However, the hibachi show at Pierside was as good as we remembered. We will be back but would like better food options.

Accommodations may have been nice a few years ago but this reaort is in serious need of refurbishment. Rooms are very basic and require serious technology upgrades. Dining was adequate and also basic. Nothings special about this resort. I've stayed at 5 other resorts in Jamaica that were better.

Wonderful large room with an ocean view! We loved leaving the window open at night to hear the waves. So relaxing. Too many stairs between the towers. But on the positive side, we got lots of exercise!

I did not like having to climb all of the stairs, when going from building to building. The area outside, needs a spot that you can get a sandwich or snack after 5;30 to 12 midnight. I think the Pelican grill would perfect for that purpose.

Staff were beyond friendly! Always happy and always saying hello. Rooms were nice and spacious. The view of the ocean from our balcony was stunning. We even say stingrays swimming. It was fun to snorkel around the little bay the resort had and was able to use the kayak. One of the staff took us out on the little Hobie sail boat they had. I recommend taking 10 mins out of your day and riding on it. It is free from the resort. The pools were great. Both of them are big with one swim up bar and with 2 hot tubs. We enjoyed the restaurants and the authentic food. We had lattes every morning from the Sugar Cane coffee shop. There is lots of lounge chairs on the beach with around 20 tiki umbrellas that a large enough to cover both lounge chairs. Staff are walking around asking if you need anything. We did 2 excursions, one the bioluminescence in the lagoon and the catamaran boat for snorkeling. Camille (the excursion person) was very helpful in setting those up for us. The resort is more of a relax and quiet resort. Not much for night life, which we enjoyed! We really enjoyed this resort and being in Jamaica!
