I recently stayed at Hotel Riu Montego Bay in Jamaica with a mix of family, friends, and a romantic trip, and overall it was a fantastic all-inclusive experience. What I liked (pros) Beach and location: stunning private beach, clear water, easy access to sun and swimming. All-inclusive value: excellent variety of meals, snacks, drinks, and on-site activities included. Family-friendly yet relaxed for adults: plenty of options for kids and adults alike, with spaces that still feel peaceful for couples. Service and staff: friendly, attentive, and responsive; made us feel welcome from check-in. Rooms and amenities: clean, comfortable – several rooms offer nice views and balconies. Activities and entertainment: daytime and evening entertainment, fitness classes, and live shows; something for everyone in your group. What could be better (cons) Peak-time crowding: some popular restaurants or loungers can fill up; plan dining and seating early. Spa and specialty reservations: popular treatment

I had a great experience overall, the property is nice, clean and the food was great. RIU party was awesome the other entertainment was okay. I did not like that the sports bar has no music at all and the TV on Trump news lol. They said there are rooms above the bar but the people in the room make a lot of noise so a radio on low shouldn't be a problem. Did not feel like a sports bar at all. The beach vibe is good but the beach was always empty, algae everywhere no where to walk without stepping on it. Besides that I had a good time.

The staff was polite, and courteous. The food was pretty good. The alcohol had HORRIBLE!! I have visited several all inclusive properties, and this was the most diluted, watered down beverages I have ever had!

Deben limpiar las algas en orilla de playa y hacer especies de camino desarraigando algas para poder bañarse un poco mas adentro. Por problemas de salud tuvimos que prolongar nuestra estadia y el costo del hotel fue altisima en vez de ayudarnos con el mismo costo inicial en la prolongacion de estadia.

Pros: friendly staff, ocean water was warm, food was better than typical resort food, easy airport transfer Cons: -very hard, uncomfortable beds -Ice machines near our room we’re all broken -No bellhops available had to lug our own bags across the resort in the heat when we arrived and when we left - there are signs in the bathroom that say the water is not safe to drink, but the ice machines and water being served in the dining area is the same water - both my partner and I developed painful stomach cramps and explosive diarrhea by our third day there. -We also developed skin rashes after swimming in the ocean and pool - most of the food tasted pretty good but options during the day we’re limited to the one open food hall, reservations, for the other restaurants are hard to come by for the evening. Kilinarium and Sophia restaurants were not good at all!!

Best Vacation Ever!

My stay at the RIU Montego Bay was amazing. The staff was courteous and had great attitudes. Not one did I feel I was an inconvenience. My room was clean, coming from a clean freak like myself, that is huge. The drinks were great and the bar in my room was a plus. The food was pretty good, plenty of options. Plenty of activities throughout the day. The next time I visit, I may not leave the resort for tours.

The check-in time was 3:00 pm and we didnt get a room until 4:30 despite telling resort in advance that my wife needed to refrigerate her insulin, and was disabled and needed to lay down.
