Centrally located in PG. It was awesome falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Roomy room that needs an update. Grounds are nested in beautiful cypresses. Lots of wildlife around the grounds.

Trying to find where to check in was a disaster. Once I found where to check in, where do I park? I sent my daughter in & they told her where I could park. What makes it more confusing is as you turn to park, there's a sign that says Do Not Enter. Also, if you pass the turn, you have to go ALL THE WAY AROUND - There were other cars behind me so I had no option but to go back to the street & start again. Inside, it was crowded & folks looked like they were happy. Outside many were walking their dogs The check in was OK. Polite enough but not what I would call friendly. The stairs to our room looked dangerous. Not solid & holes in the wood. Once in our room there is NO PHONE, no T.V., & no coffee maker. Just a smelly OLD room.The shower may have been clean, but I would not take a shower there. I called & left a voice message to please call me ASAP as I wasn't going to bring my luggage in until I spoke w/ someone. After few minutes I tried again & they answered, put me on hold. Over 13 minutes later I hung up. I went to my car to find other lodging arrangements & since I didn't receive a call back, I left the keys in the room & left. I wasn't about to go through that parking fiasco again. It was while on hold that I realized from the message I was listening to, there is no amenities. This was a place to unplug. OMG I looked at the site where I booked the place and there is no mention of this. I would not pay $200 for an old useless room. To this day, they never called me back.

Room quality was lacking. The property overall was very picturesque. However, our only issue was with the room - very dated - no TV, no phone, faucets in the bathroom old and rusty. Shower doors were moldy. Very poor lighting. Room had a musty, old smell to it. Felt like we were “glamping”. Maybe this was what they intended but not what we expected.

I was traveling with my 17-year-old son and reserved a room with two single beds. I was even called to ask if I wanted a different room with a single king and I refused. When I arrived, they gave us a room with a single king. They had no other rooms available so we were forced to have a single king.

We liked the location and the room. Beds were very comfy. Bigger pillows tho. The front desk person who checked meus in was nice, but the phone kept ringing and she took the call each time instead and dint put them.on hold while hellping us. She did it two times. Felt like check was too long because of this.

Make sure you are in a historic room close to the main buildings and the dunes. The modem rooms are larger but they are quite a bit further away from everything that makes Asilomar special (and also in worse condition, in my experience). The food on site is mediocre but convenient. It's really all about the views and walks, and the historic ambiance of the core part of the site.

Beautiful and historic resort with boardwalk trails through a restored sand dune area and ocean shoreline. Our first floor “Manzanita” building room could have used better sound proofing, as the neighbors upstairs were noisy. Also, it sounded like there were rats behind the radiators. If we stay there again, we will try for a second floor room. The staff was very nice and we really enjoyed having breakfast in the historic dining hall.

The room was full of spider webs and spiders. it also smelled strong mold. we couldn't stay and left at 11 pm. I hope they would refund me!
