The front desk was very nice, rooms clean, comfortable. There was plenty of parking in front, breakfast was decent. Didn’t wow me, but was a great place to sleep over in while passing through the city. Has nice enough lobby that you can hang out in, didn’t have much time to test out the amenities, but I like that they are available. I would stay again if I was ever in that area.

BIG SPIDER IN OUR ROOM!
We found a big brown spider in our room! and a few ants. We gave the spider to the front desk and hope they will get a bug guy out to spray.

The hotel looked as if we would have a marina view… did not. Seemed to be many flies buzzing around and the hotel had recently washed down the general gathering areas. Breakfast was only til 9am… on vacation you should expect a bit later and the food was mediocre- rubbery pancakes and the peeled hard biked eggs had shell bits… the juices were watered down and a bit tasteless…

There was no privacy. Staff gave the key to our room to another guest who tried to enter our room at 12:40am. Staff let themselves into our room while we were there even though the do not disturb sign was on the door. One evening we came back and our key would not open the door. Staff were perplexed. They kept insisting we'd asked to move rooms. We had not. The area is nice, next to a state beach however, the freeway noise is loud and when we had neighbors we could hear the screaming children through the walls.

If you love history, this hotel is for you. Great Location, True to period renovation, clean, friendly staff, great workout room. Nice wine tasting room, quick and tasty coffee cafe. the nopportunity to take a historical tour on Sundays. Super helpful & Freindly staff even during time of the hotels labor strike. THe picketers were noisy and disrtuptive on the street but the staff still working did not miss a beat!

The staff was very kind to my boyfriend and I when we stayed. The breakfast included was very much appreciated and everyone was very sweet. I am just being a little particular but the floor wasn’t as clean when I walked in, it was kind of dirty and sticky next to the bed and entrance area.Overall though a very good experience

A good place to stay
I've been here several times. It's always nice and clean. Right at the beach. The walls are thin, and the beds are doable. They serve breakfast every morning and have fruit and hot beverages all day. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You wake up and walk out not even five min walk to the beach/sand dunes and nature. right at the freeway too. Can't beat the price.

Property isn't on the beach but is in the dunes near the beach - a long walk to the ocean. Motel backs-up to the hi-way and is noisy. Property is older, has no phones in rooms to contact front desk if there was an emergency and the toilets are child-size and not suitable for adults. Bathroom is cramped and staff is sparse.
