We enjoyed a two night stay in The Carmel Bay View Inn. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. Parking was included, and everything was within walking distance. Our room had a fireplace which provided more ambiance than heat. There was also a small wall heater that worked well. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. The bed itself was really comfortable. The few things that weren’t so great, were as others have stated, It was noisy. You could hear people walking, talking, kids running etc. both outside, and in the rooms above. The pillows were a little harder than I prefer and there wasn’t enough blankets. (To be fair, I didn’t ask for any extra, which I’m sure would have been provided.) Breakfast was also included which was nice but not the best we’ve had. But you won’t starve, as there were lots of options. Even with the few con’s, We would choose this hotel again.

Fireplace was nice - balcony had a great view! Breakfast was not especially good - very greasy, undercooked and fatty bacon. Property was on the edge of being too far away from beach, but overall a good stay.

This was a very nice hotel, well maintained. Great location at a reasonable price. Cool how it’s built into the side of a hill, yet they managed to have parking at each level. Loved the garden beside each door on our level. Very glad they have an elevator too, making it easier to get closer to ground level for walking to restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.
