Great hotel
It was a lovely visit to pick up my grandson from CSUMB to spend Thanksgiving with us. This is my hotel of choice when I go to the Monterey area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

We stayed a single night because my son had an early event at Laguna Seca Raceway. The room had a wet musty smell. Although the room looked somewhat updated, I have to wonder if they renovated by just painting over mold and mildew. The bathroom was bad and I believe that is what made the rest of the room smell. We didn't complain to the front desk because we thought the smell would dissipate if we turned the AC on full blast when we left for dinner. It didn’t help, but we felt like it was too much trouble since we were leaving at 7 am. We just kept the bathroom door closed and the AC on high

Our room had mold build up all round all the windows. You can smell it. They tried to move us to another room but that room had the same thing. We could not stay there and had to final another hotel.

Limited restaurants / facilities nearby. Air conditioning had an odd moly smell. Weirdly, if your do not disturb sign was on at around 6.30 when they patrolled room service would not come that day. They don’t tell you that. Business services area is a table in the lounge / waiting area. Included breakfast was quite good. Staff were friendly.

Worst motel sleep ever
Broken light that came on every two hours totally disrupted sleep. Service desk was totally unhelpful.
