There's plenty of small budget hotels on the Monterey peninsula and I've stayed at many of them. What sets this one apart is the remodel which was done very well, very clean rooms, and the huge, (and I do mean HUGE), in-room hot tubs. It's the first place I look when I need a room in Monterey or Seaside.

This motel is a great value. The rooms are completely renovated in a very minimalist way. We found it to be almost "institutional" in appearance. No carpet, no drapes, no pictures, no hooks or towel bars, no lamps. However, everything functioned well and was very clean. Beds were comfortable. I would have loved some softer lighting (lamps) AND some hooks in the bathroom. But clearly they are going for a no frills function. Bring ear plugs. Airport is very close.

I liked how clean it was inside, the only thing I would suggest is bring your own pillow. The pillows were super huge, some people may like them like that ; but I would recommend regular pillows as well.

Above Expectations

I was volunteering at the AT&T ProAm golf tournament in Pebble Beach and needed a place to stay at a good rate. We are volunteers and pay our own way. I used hotels.com and saw this hotel It looked and was very reasonable. I was more than impressed with the Lodge and the room. The room was completely updates, new faux wood floors in the bedroom and tile in the two bathroom areas. Alle sinks were modern, shower was new and I had an additional room that had coffee and a separate table where I could set up my computer and do work. King size bed was comfortable and staff super pleasant I will be back next year.

This is a great place to stay for a quick trip to Monterey. The rooms are huge and seemed very clean. Had an easy check-in and check-out. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting the area again. Super close drive to Carmel and nearby shops, coffee, and cafe’s.

Room was modern. New everything...floor, bed with memory foam, etc. Place was fairly quiet, easily to get a good nights rest. Hot water in a quick manner, nice small fridge, no freezer section though.

It was a lovely old motel that has been recently updated. There was NO old smoke smell and the staff was great!

Love the small table for two has plenty of clearance from the bed. Along with the office chair desk and walk in shower. Spacious, only down side is if you're a light sleeper, the airport starts flights up about 6am, not very loud, say 3/10; white noise machine would mask it totally.

Very comfortable 2 night stay

Stayed two nights here out of a week long trip and this was by far my favourite place. The room was exceptionally clean, updated and plenty of space. The bathroom was large with a very big glass shower. The bed was really comfortable as well and the price was extremely reasonable. The grounds are well kept and the staff at the front desk were lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I'm ever in the area again.
