This is an older property that could use a little updating, but it makes up for it with location and thoughtful amenities. It is right on the water and the view is incredible. We loved breakfast being brought to our room each morning, daily housekeeping, comfortable bed and pillows, and even binoculars provided to view the marine life. We saw sea lions, otters, and dolphins daily right from our balcony. We also appreciated that checkout isn't until noon. One suggestion I have is to change up the breakfast a little (it's the same every day) but we did still enjoy it. We would absolutely stay here again!

A room with a view
This was our third time to stay at this hotel. The views are amazing and close to restaurants and shopping. A 10 minute walk or less and you're at Cannery Row. Looking forward to our next trip here in Monterey.

Hotel Located in the Heart of Cannery Row
The Monterey Bay Inn is a unique property. It sits right on the Bay on Cannery Row. It does not have a restaurant or bar, but the location is close to many fine dining options. The room includes a wonderful continental breakfast that has warm muffins, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled egg and coffee that is brought to your room. The service us friendly and professional. I upgraded my room to the ocean view balcony. Wow! Was that a great idea. The views were stunning. The room is very large and comfortable. The bathrooms were also large. There are rwo hit tubs on the property but i did not bring my bathing suit so was sad to have not tried it. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our favorite place to stay in Monterey! We love the comfortable beds, the quiet atmosphere, the rooftop hot tub and the oceanfront location. It’s heaven to sit on the balcony and watch all the life of the Bay.

Loved the ocean view from our balcony. We often saw sea otters, seals, and sea lions. Staff were helpful and rooms were very clean. Only thing they could improve on is the continental breakfasts. Would have loved to have had some vegan options or even cereal.

We loved the area but had to check out early due to the. Noise from the SeaLions on the beach below our window. 24/7 loud barking. Manager said it was unusual since they have never been there so gave us a refund for the unused nights. We were able book a beautiful motel in Carmel so very fortunate all around. Thanks to the manager for being flexible.
