Quick getaway, great location

Staff was friendly; loved the room keys, quiet, easy location, a little dated and the beds could use an upgrade, but still slept well.

Everything was basically fine with the service and cleanliness, but the property itself needs some pretty significant updates, particularly in the areas of plumbing and electric. There is no easy access to AC or USB outlets for charging devices near the bed. The property was clearly built before this was a problem, but should be fixed for modern travelers. As for the plumbing. It's just terrible. The handles in the shower were rusted, the tub didn't appear to work at all, and the shower temperature itself varied from about 80 degrees to about 130 degrees often in less than 3 seconds. That was maybe the most adventuresome shower I've had that didn't involve a real waterfall.

Despite our late arrival, the designated key was readily accessible in the provided lockbox, facilitating seamless access to the room in the absence of front desk personnel.

The Olympia Lodge or Money Pit?

Room was clean but the bar sink was straight out of the movie the Money Pit. Burp several times and then spit out crap that was sick. So we did drink the water there. The vending machine was out of serve the whole 5 days. The toilets were very low and round. The bed and pillows were hard as rocks! The noise was REALLY bad on the lower section next to stairs and the connecting door to the next room. The window next to the stairs was open and broken on the rail, you couldn’t close it.

Construction from 7:00am-9:00am above us, noisy tenants above us , coffee maker didn’t work, bath tub was filthy, house keeping didn’t make the bed…..reported issues, office didn’t care. Not a restful stay on vacation.

We liked the surrounding area. The Pacific Grove Downtown, the lighthouse, the wild animals and the ocean were all nearby. The front desk people acted very professional and friendly!!!

Great, quiet, clean, property very near the shore and golf courses that are in the area. Love it. Only negative thing I can think of is when it gets full you may have to park on the street, but it's not very far, so not too bad!
