My mother is 83 years old and we reserved a room for her via Expedia. We had a confirmation number from the hotel, yet when we arrived they said they didn't have a reservation for us and they were full, no rooms available. The redirected us to a sister location a couple of blocks away. It was a little more run down than the original hotel we chose. They had a room available, but it was a smoking room (it reeked) and my mother has lung issues. We were given another room upon asking, but it was upstairs, no elevator and was difficult to get to when you have trouble with stairs due to being 83 years old with lung problems. The room wasn't bad, but the issues with check-in were troublesome.

Good deal by the Sea
The motel receptionist is very friendly and accommodating. I got the room I requested. I arrived late and receptionist was there to greet me. I felt safe even though there was another sketchy motel across street who can see me walk to my room on the 2nd floor, I heard cat calls. The motel parking is well lit. I didn't have issues with noise, stayed during Thanksgiving weekend, it was very quiet, but when someone walked by I could hear everything. The inside was clean and comfy, it's a bit outdated, no smells, the floors were new, not carpet. Overall it was a good deal for the area.

Rooms are spacious and clean, nice property and great dining next door. However they should not advertise as pet-friendly. I travel for work and could not leave my well-behaved dog there while working. Even then the manager complained of dog hair on the top sheet (for $40 a day pet fee) and refused cleaning or replacement sheets. While traveling I often decline cleaning service and take care of it myself, exchanging sheets and towels weekly and doing the service myself. However the manager never allowed enough conversation before her rush to judgement. All this to say, a great place for the budget but pet owners beware.
