Good check- in service, clean. However, bed frame was very noisy during normal sleep, heater blower was extremely loud and no black out curtains. The shutters still allowed the exterior light into the room.

The Perfect Stay.
My room and the surrounding property area was spotless and fresh. All functions of the room-small refrigerator, microwave and bathroom were perfect. 50" lcd tv was new with great channel offerings. This place was exemplarary!

Great stay
I think Motels get a bad rap for being seedy places for questionable activity. Although there may be motels that are this way, many motels offer clean rooms at reasonable prices that are perfect for someone who wants a nice room when they’re just passing through town. The Aura Inn was one such place. I only stayed one night there while attending a conference and it was perfect for my needs. My front desk experience was very positive and the attendant even gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant for dinner. The room was very clean, minimal but nicely decorated, and conveniently located to my conference venue. It’s across the street from a nice shopping center that has a range of eateries. If you don’t need a super fancy room for your stay, or if you’re enjoying the Monterey area and just need a good clean room and bed while you’re asleep, this is the place. If my travels bring me back this way, I’d definitely stay here again.
