Every time we back to Salinas we stay here and never had an issue. This time we did, it was 10AM before check out time which is at 11AM. I had just gotten out of the shower and changing when room service knocked. I told her we were checking out shortly that we were getting our stuff ready. The lady opened the door which luckily my husband was near the door to stop her from coming in plus we had the lock on top of the door. I was half ways dressed. We were both pretty upset, now my husband is not sure if we will come back to stay here due to this accident.

Room was musty, smoke alarm went off continually had to ask a few times to have it fixed but they never came so we fixed it ourselves. Free breakfast was the worst, unless you like cold cereal, toast and yogurt.

The hotel room was clean. Carpets could use a cleaning as well as seating. Parking was good. Typical free breakfast items provided. Pool was very clean. Heating and air worked very well. Daily maid service for clean towels and bedding.

Could be better

This was a drop in stay visitng family in ICU. Needed a last minute place to stay overnight. However when I got inside tried to turn on the TV and realized the remote batteries were dead. I didnt mind too much that aa i was too exhausted to care. I went back to the hospital and came in about 9pm there was other guests playing loud music from their car in the parking lot to the left of my unit. As well as the unit above me had a couple arguing and stompping on the ground for a couple of hours between 11pm to 2am. I had to leave early and checked out at 530am so not a very restful night. Otherwise, the unit was clean, and the air conditioner worked. It would have been more enjoyable if other guests had respect for others or if you had security patroling. Its a rougher neighborhood and you might consider such.

Front desk called and complained about my service dog. Deactivated my keys so i would have to go to front desk. So they wanted to charge me $200 for my dog after i checked in with my service animal card. I felt very uncomfortable and would like Hotels.com to refund me 1 day off my stay. Since i wanted to leave but new i payed third party.....

The hotel staff was good. The hotel had very little to none of hot water. And understandably it is not situated in the best of neighborhoods, there was continuous prostitution at night. The majority of the people staying at this hotel were families with small children yet no one in management seemed to care that prostitution was common at night. Extremely disappointed in the environment.

The door was broken, and the wedge could see outside. It was really loud. There was people smoking weed in the hallways. There was empty alcohol bottles in the hallways. The breakfast options were limited. The air conditioning didn’t work.
